Wellbeautifulspitit your brain is probably loaded with toxins. I would check around and see if you can do some ALA. It may be a good idea to find a doctor who understand how Cholestyramine works in Lyme patients and see if that is something for you.

Get this; I almost finished my Ph.D. in English, and by the time I got my Lyme dx, I could barely read at all.

I'll probably never read Chaucer or Shakespeare again,

but I do read now. It does come back.

I have the bad habit of skipping ahead to see how it will turn out.

Sometimes I don't finish a book, especially since in the beginning, it feels like you're plodding along.

The first thing I read from cover to cover after my dx was Jane Goodall's autobiography, bc I had always admired her, and her work.

I sometimes read "brain candy" sorts of books.

It's easier for me to read short stories, and sometimes memoirs or short essays.

There is hope - you will be able to read again once you kick this lyme to the curb!

I just went yesterday to the eye doctor. Last year, I did not upgrade my glasses because my vision was so bad, astigmatism, red, blurry, watery eyes. I no longer have an astigmatism in my left eye and my vision actually improved, back to where it was 4 years ago before I was even ill!

I didn't know your eyes could heal like that, but they can! Hang in there!
