Hello everyone!

I was just wondering what you guys think about TMJ being caused by Babesia?

My only pain really with this whole thing has been bad TMJ.  I started cryptolepis (Buhner's herb) for babesia yesterday . I felt a little weird but that's about it. Then last night, in the middle of the night, I woke up with extreme TMJ.  My jaw was aching and I couldn't get much sleep because of it.

Today, it is still aching.  It has never felt this way before.  I had been using Buhners C.S.A for the past month which took away some air hunger and night sweats but I felt it wasn't strong enough so I ordered cryptolepis and sida acuta by themselves to try. I am starting one herb at a time in case there's some kind of reaction I get to it, I will know which one caused it.

I Googled this and there are some people that attribute their jaw pain to Babesia.  I was just wondering if anyone else had this symptom with it?

Hi, I had this symptom for many years before I found out it was connected to lyme. But yes it is connected. I was dislocating my jaw at night had several sleep studies etc. I have not had much trouble with it since treatment started.

I am trying to figure out if mine is from Lyme or Babesia. Because I was on abx for 6 months for just the Lyme, no improvement in the TMJ at all.

Now, once I started taking herbs for Babesia is when I'm noticing some changes in the pain and some new feelings in my jaw also.

I also have TMJ but not sure if its connected to lyme. I just recently went to my dentist and he was able to make me a bite guard for about $200. I try to wear it at least a few nights a week and im trying to see if my facial issues can resolve between this and the meds. Ive also read in older posts about people going to see an oral balance specialist (that's was Dr. Jernigan recommends to some) maybe it helps with TMJ??? Don't really know. You could look into it maybe if you have no relief.

I've never had TMJ before the Lyme which is why I think it is either Lyme or co's. My husband also has the TMJ since getting Lyme and co's.

I go to my one naturopath next Tuesday. He mentioned that his testing that he did picked up an abnormality with my one tooth. He said we will work on this issue once I was done with all my herbs for Lyme which I am now. Hopefully, it's all connected and he can help me.

I do wake up sometimes and my teeth are clenched together.
