I have found that Turmeric is helping me sleep all night.
I take two 500mg capsules of Turmeric with breakfast to help me with air hunger and inflammation. It has been great for that. However, the other day I added Turmeric to an Asian chicken recipe that I was making for dinner. That night I slept like a baby. I felt so good the next day but did not put two and two together. I have made the recipe a few times since (including last night) and noticed that each time I use Turmeric at night, I get to sleep all night and wake up more refreshed.
I know that many here can't sleep all night so I wanted to share with you in case it helps.
The Turmeric that I have at breakfast is in pill form that I buy at Walmart for about
$6 dollars. The Turmeric that I use in my food I bought at the grocery store in the condiment aisle for about
$5 dollars. I just sprinkle the Turmeric on my food so it is probably about
two spoonfuls for a meal for 6.
I did a search on the internet about
this to see if other people were having a similar benefit from Turmeric and I did find other articles where other people have had similar effects from this. Some say that it is because of its benefits to the liver, others say that it is because of how it helps with inflammation at night, others say that it is in how it protects the brain. All I know is that it helps and that is a good thing, maybe it helps all three

Thanks for sharing and I'm glad it has helped you so much. I keep meaning to get some i capsules, but keep forgetting. I do use some in cooking, though.

Wow...thank you for this post. I carry it in my purse but forget to take it daily. I had no clue that WalMart sells the capsules. Trader Joes does too! I need to make it a daily regiment.
Glad you're sleeping soundly!

Along with taking probiotic before bedtime, I put turmeric drops in veggie juice - also add some milk seed thistle to help with liver detoxing... I had not noticed an impact on sleeping but so glad this helped you. Maybe I'll increase my dose.

WOW- this is a great post. Earlier today I asked my husband to buy me some turmeric/ curcurmin capsules because I'd read some where that it does indeed help brain function - hello, this Lyme brain NEEDS HELP - and that it is an antifungal, has anti inflammatory and anti viral properties. What a great coincidence you should post this. Didn't know about
the sleep benefit though- I need that as I seem to only sleep 2-4 hours at a time - just not enough sleep even for a person with no lyme.

I agree with this completely! Since taking turmeric nightly before bed along with milk thistle, I've been sleeping much better. I used to wake up to pee a lot (4 or 5 times per night). Now, it's one or two only :)
Maybe it's the detoxing effect on the liver?
Anyway, if you buy turmeric powder online and fill your own capsules it's much cheaper than buying the pills :)
