How do you know if you are herxing or just plain sick. I started 400mg doxy a few days ago and I feel terrible but I feel like I have a regular cold and headache. Not my normal aches and pains. My head is killing me and I feel like I have a sinus infection. Is this all correlated. Do people feel like they have a cold when herxing. Feel weird like if my body is vibrating and I am very shaky and dizzy.

I am so confused Barngirl. There are so many different opinions about
the diagnosis and treatment. I still question if I have lyme or not because I can never get a straight answer. They tell me I am positive for the ELISA test but negative for the western blot but even though the blot is negative I continuously have a reactive band 23kd igm. My Dr is treating me because of symptoms and that band but I still never feel like I am sure about
what the heck is going on. I just know things arenot right and something is seriously wrong.

There's a lot of confusion around the disease. The tests are not reliable. They need to work on developing a much more sensitive test. If you have the symptoms and exposure you more than likely have it. My dog had it and we had a horse almost die of it and I live in the woods and spent many years outdoors. Do you have the tick bite and/or were you outside for long periods of time ? Its reaching epidemic levels.
