Has anybody out there been diagnosed with biotoxin illness?

I was recently diagnosed with this after my doctor ran the Shoemaker Panel. All of my blood levels (C4a, TGF beta, msh, etc) showed this, as well as I have the 2 genes that will not allow me to detox on my own.

I'm really confused though. I do see a LLMD (because I was wondering if I had Lyme). He believes I do NOT have Lyme, and also doesn't think my biotoxin illness/exposure is mold-related.

My question is...if I have biotoxin illness and wierd symptoms from it, and it's not from Lyme OR mold, what else can it be from? What are other ways to get this?

Any ideas? I'd really appreciate some input as I am totally clueless and new to this topic!

Since Biotoxin means a toxin from a living source, it could mean a lot of things, but considering you said it was based on the Shoemaker panel, it would have to be from mold, as that's the main thing he is concerned with.

There are many doctors out there -including LLMD's - that know a lot less than they are willing to admit to, so be sure to learn what your blood tests are really saying be sure to get several other opinions - even about the Lyme disease, since it creates toxins in us as well!

If your symptoms match up with Lyme pretty well, be sure to find another LLMD and get their opinion too. Did you have any tick-borne disease tests run, or is this just someone's opinion?

If I were you (I may do this myself, too) I would sign up for one of the "surviving mold membership" packages, which can be found on Shoemaker's website. A 6-month membership is discounted at $100 and includes unlimited email consultation w/ Dr. Shoemaker, his Q&A volume, and includes some eye tests (which I have done online and they are interesting). You can send him your lab results and let a mold specialist inform you what his opinion is.

I'm very interested in signing up for the membership. Is it really valid? I'm a little weary of signing up wondering if I'll actually get real email consultations with experts let alone dr. s
Himself.

Does it seem legitimate?
