Next week I am going to see the Neuro I saw back in Sept. when
all this started. I want to take my Igenex results to him and ask him
about brain lesions and LD and if he has pts w/ this.

When I showed my Rheum. doc he thought the LD test was wrong.
And I wonder if I am wasting my time with the Neuro but I would
like his opinion on this. Back when I saw him he said the lesions were old and could be from childhood polio or Lupus. So with all that
in the mix could I get some clear answers from him or just the same old stuff?

Any thoughts?

Hey sueg...does your neuro doc really know Lyme Disease? You want to go to someone who really knows this disease and not someone who is guessing.

I had (2) neuro docs. The first one I worked with didn't know Lyme and I was referred to the one that does. Long story short I now only work with the neuro doc that knows Lyme inside and out. The other one knows his stuff when it comes to MS, Parkinsons, Dementia, etc but didn't want to learn about Lyme.

Life is too short and so is my money to waste time on a doctor who doesn't know Lyme.

I saw a neuro for a year when I started getting shooting nerve pain several years after getting the tick bite. He couldn't find anything wrong and sent me for PT for an old lower back disc issue, even though I told him about my previous lyme bite and EM rash.

As my condition deteriorated with more joint pain and stiffness I saw a rheumy with similar results.

I wouldn't waist my time or money with either unless my LLMD strongly recommended them.
