I wanted to share this old post with everyone. I still have balance issues. It comes and goes but now that I am off Lorazepam everything is hitting the fan. I saved this post into my email from August when I was in tears over this issue. I look at it often because her words give me hope that one day I will have normal balance and be able to dance, run, power walk...whatever requires balance again and with ease.

I've said this many times before but the balance and spacial issues were even more distressing than the unbearable foot pains.

When out walking with my dogs I would look back at the distance I had walked and panic,this would cause me to clamp up to such an extent that I could't propel myself forwards.I was literally incapable of putting one foot infront of the other.

Coming downstairs was a nightmare,like looking through a tunnel and I felt very dizzy.

I often went down on my bottom so as not to fall.

NOW, the good news,this has all stopped,after about 8 months of treatment these problems started to resolve themselves VIEW IMAGE

You should see me run down the stairs! I am able to travel on trains,buses........you name it.

12 months ago I couldn't even stand without having balance problems but in 3 weeks time I'm off home to London and I can't really believe it ,so much healing.

You will soon be making plans.......dancing to the African beat.......and who knows what else.

Hi Wryter,

I'm so glad that my post continues to give you hope,I had no idea that you still remember it.

I always read your posts and delight at your progress,you are a very special young lady.......it has never mattered how desperate you have been,you have always found time to help and encourage others,I really admire that :-)

In my opinion, attitude can make or break recovery,those of us with an optimistic outlook on life tend to do better,I base this on reading and following the recoveries of members here........so it clear that you,dear Wryter are going to be just fine.

We all know that battling Lyme is like a game of Snakes and Ladders,up you climb,only to slide back down again,but the end is in sight and the battle will be won yeah

As I always say "If things aren't going right,turn left"

My very bestestest wishes.

Awwww, this touches my heart!  Tickled, you are one special lady and I totally agree with you about attitude!

The Wryter, you are also so special helping others when you are suffering...

I take my hat off to both of you special ladies!!!!

Bump!!!

Thank you TickledPink and Denise. This ride has to be over soon. Spring is my season to totally heal!!!! I put it in my mind that I will be totally well by summer.

But your comments touched me so. Love you both!
