Fever reaching 101 - herx?

Two weeks ago I was hit with the same type of thing. Bad flu-like symptoms at the beginning of starting abx...

Today I feel horrible.

Flu-like, vomited AM, achy, hurts to touch anything especially anything cold, fever reaching highest at 101.4 (this is the part that scares me most), joint pain, can't get out of bed, & weakness ... So flu symptoms.

Could it be a herx with fever getting up there...?

Another thing I have to admit, I had ONE, honestly just one drink last night... I was feeling great and we went to a baseball game... I wouldn't think one drink would cause all this, but....

I have never herxed with a fever. Are you on antibiotics and if yes which ones?

I left a MSG for my LLMD. But, anyone else out there experience a fever with herxing?

I'm on azithro and I have a good day followed by bad in that cycle. My herxing is more in the form of sobbing, so not sure about the fever. I'd check with your doc if it doesn't break by tomorrow.

K, thank you. That's the cycle I've been having too, until a few days ago, and u had a couple really good days in a row... Now this.

LLMD said it sounds like I'm in the middle of a herx. So I guess I'm going to roll with it.

I was on Azithro for 2 days and I became so horribly ill that I had to stop working. See if you can get a different abx.

Thanks BarnGurl. I have read that but its so scary when it happens, and I wasn't sure if 101 was considered low grade. LLMD said temp can easily reach 101 during a herx.
I'm feeling much better today. :)
