Possible lymes? Need some insight.

Im new to the lymes side but a frequent over in the Ulcerative colitis area as i have UC. Im a 26 year old male who is very healthy. Anyway onto my story. Im hoping some folks Dx'd with Lymes can help. about 2 months ago I got sick out of the blue. Basicly had a fever was very weak and achey and tired. It passed after 24 hours but ever since then i haven't felt right.i started feeling dizzy, like i was on an elevator, also, this may sound funny,but i felt really stupid, mixing up dates, forgetful, ect, in addition i was also very tired. and my eyelids were twitching and i suddenly noticed these darn eye floaters. They are all in my field of vision . I went and saw my PCP who recommended i see a nureo. So i did. I went over my symptoms with him and he decided to do a physical test on me. He checked all of my reflexes and whatnot.Everything was fine. After he could tell i was nervous and sent me for an MRI or brain and c spine w/o contrast just to quell my nerves. All came back good. He took blood and said the lymes came back a little high but he said it was nothing to worry about... I still don't feel right. Maybe lymes?what do you guys think? Does anyone know a good LLMD in westchester county ny? I forgot to mention i have been having some nasty muscle aches and joint pain and sometimes I feel hypoglycemic which I'm not....

If the Lyme came back a little high I would definitely be worried. I think it would be a good idea to see an LLMD. You can start a thread Looking for an LLMD in…. and make sure your email is enabled because we are not allowed to post dr.'s names here.

Thanks for the advice. I just sent some emails to a member on here who should have a list of docs. I guess i Should request a copy of the lab results. Thanks for the input. Any advice on how i can help myself in the meantime?

It depends how much money you have and how far you want to go with alternative treatments. There are people here who do herbal protocols which can be done without a doctor, I used colloidal silver (I bought it, I did not use the home made kind) for a period of time and it really helped me. I also bought a far infra red sauna by Heavenly Heat (major investment) and I am glad I did. Get a good probiotic (I use Dr. Ohhira's professional strength, from Amazon) There are some really good books to get, like Beginner's Guide to Lyme Disease, Beyond lyme Disease, The Lyme Diet, and I am sure as you start looking you will find a number of other books you will want to read. I assume id need a dx before i can start taking something like that? Unless its good for you either way. Im sorry i had to join this area too haha. Im going to call my PCP tomorrow and ask if i can have a bunch of blood taken and have them run multiple lymes tests. If you don't mind me asking, what were your first symptoms?

I'll second to start taking a good probiotic and colloidal silver ASAP. Also get a copy of that Lyme test ASAP and post it here for comments before spending too much money on more blood work.

Other low cost herbals to start that have helped many here include Japanese Knotweed, Grapefruit Seed Extract, Cats Claw, Banderal, Cryptoleptis (sp?) and sida-acuta. Start very slow one drop at a time with anyone of these, and only add one at a time to gauge reactions.

Diet, Diet, Diet.... Start a low carb and gluten-free diet ASAP. It takes time to wean totally off breads and sugars, but the sooner the better before starting ABX.

Thanks a lot for the help. I'm going to post the blood work later tonight. Today i feel so darn tired. It's really annoying. I can say the western blot shows positive on p41. I don't know what that means . The rest show negative.

What other Tests can I be given that will not cost me more than my copayment? I have good insurance but i assume only tests recommended by the cdc would be coverd, correct?
