check for ticks

Ok, I know that sounds dumb since we all have lyme but.. I had a tick on me yesterday!

I dropped my daughter off at softball. Literally got out of the car and took two steps on the grass. Watcher her run over to the field. I was in the grass for like 2 seconds. Got back in my car and decided to do a quick scan for ticks. OMG I had one on my pant leg.

Seriously guys, that's all it takes is seconds. How unbelievably scary. Be careful this spring and summer!!! Please constantly check yourself.

I had bug spray on with DEET and homemade tick spray(that I got at an organic store) on my pant legs.

Agreed! We should all be very careful to always check for ticks! They are now saying that even though many of us had a very cold and even an extended winter, it didn't kill off the ticks like it used to.

Makes one wonder what changed, but we must be more vigilant than ever to watch for ticks on us, our children and our pets!
