I would keep the appointment. See/feel how they are behaving...
It won't cost you anything, and you never know you might benefit out of it (or get really frustrated - maybe a short meditation before the appointment? lol).
If you trust your pcp, I would try the appointment.
I know what you mean, I gave everything into the hands of my llmd, but sometimes I need an urgent intervention, and then I just dare to go to my GP: he won't argue, he will give me the prescriptions I need, but he won't think either, it's too much of an effort.
I had a follow-up appointment with my dermatologist next week and I cancelled yesterday, don't want to see her face. She will just repeat 'patient thinks she has Lyme, negative IGM test', like a broken record.
I don't even plan my oncology follow-ups, I'm doctor-tired... don't want to explain everything, and have the door shut on my face once again. My blood gets tested every 2 months, other tests have recently been done, so I just don't plan it.
I think that it is disgusting that we don't dare to see other specialists because of their narrow-mindedness...
Let us know how it went!!
