need help with results. RN in CA with Lyme

i dont see a llmd at this time. i had my naturopathic doctor order the igenex test for me because i begged him. i have stage 3 endometriosis, hashimotos disease. my main symptoms is brain fog, blurred vision, increased floaters, ITCHING ALL OVER, and unexplainable fatigue. can anyone help me?

1)IFA, B burgdorferi g/m/a results 40 (positive)

2) IGENEX IGM RESULT POSITIVE

    CDC/NYS RESULT POSITIVE

Band intensity: neg (-) no band detected, IND = band intensity < calibration standard, POS (+1-+4) = band intensity > or to calibration standard:

what do these bands mean!?!?!?!?

You have positives and strong positives in lyme specific bands so you are way positive for lyme disease.

Hi rnbelle do you have a history of spending lots of time outdoors or a hobby where you are out a lot ? Im curious because we seem to be getting a lot of RN's infected with the disease.

Maine 76, when you mean positive in specific lyme bands what exactly does that mean? another co infection?

barngurl, no history of spending time outdoors, hated the outdoors. been too many places in my life though. lived in japan growing up 1988-2004, moved to california, been to hawaii, texas, arizona, and missouri as well. can it be the hospital environment? i live about 2 hours away from yosemite national park.

looking back in 2012, i just woke up one day sick. and never got better. maybe ive had it for years, and it just manifested two years ago.

because i have borrelia?, i may have neuro symptoms. i literally see black speck floaters and i see microbial bacteria moving around when i look at a plain wall or in the sky. !!!!!!

Hi rn, Im just curious bc can be transmitted via body fluids. What were you doing at the time, 2012, when you came down with the disease. Also it can go dormant in the body and surface during stressful events.

I had all the symptoms you describe above. You need to find a llmd in CA asap. Maybe someone here can help you. Usually as soon as you start treatment you can show improvement. Took me about 6 months of tx before I really started to feel myself again.

2012 I just started a new RN position in 2011, severely stressed. I was fine in 2012, at least i thought i was, could my bf possibly give it to me?
Are you located in CA? It boggles my mind that i am still pretty functional, work at 12 hour shift, went to vegas, was part of a wedding, go out to santa cruz beach.. yeah i feel like crap, but im functional lol!

in sept 2012-feb 2013. felt like i was dying, like it was the end of my life!!!!!

It can be sexually transmitted. Does your bf spend a lot of time outdoors by an chance ?
Does he have or has he had any symptoms like you ?

I am not in CA but on the east coast. Im sure some members here may be. You are lucky to be functional but if it goes ful neuro most people are not.

Yea he spends time outdoors but that has been recently, playing disc golf. Ive had symptoms since 2009! no he is perfectly healthy, and has no symptoms at all.

well i hope it doesnt go full neuro, so i will seek an LLMD asap!!! ive contacted 2 ILAD trained doctors. so i hope to see them next month since they are booked weeks in advance!

Yes it can take a little while to get in. Have you been with him since 2009 ? also have you had any contact with Lyme patients in the hospital or in your family etc ?

My husband has pulled dozens of ticks off of him and does not have any symptoms. So though it has been proven to be sexually transmitted - a healthy person might not always get sick. I even gave him some hard core dosing of herbs and nothing - no herx. Although I had the tick bite with the rash so I know where I got it!

rnbelle - glad you have contacted the ILADS drs. Hang in there, half of the battle is getting the positive testing and diagnosis and you are positive. The appointment will be here before you know it!

You wouldn't know if patients have lyme most of the time because it's so under diagnosed. The bands on your western blot are lyme specific meaning they can't cross react with anything else. For example 23, it's the outer surface protein of borrelia.
