Another Dead End

Well, my recent Lyme test via Quest through my new pcp came back neg.

I've cancelled the upcoming ID, Neuro and Heart appts.

I've hit a dead end as far as my ability to continue seeking medical attention.

I've also fired my llnd, as he was extremely unprofessional and wasn't knowledgeable, although he claims he is. He 'prescribed' the same tinctures and herbals I was already self-treating with. He knows nothing about nutrition, was late for each appt, and talked at length about his religious beliefs and experiences, all on my tab. Nothing relevent for my treatment. He also stated that he believes some of my health issues stem from 'other issues,' meaning my living with my fiance without marriage. So, if that's true, I guess I deserve this hellish disease.

I can't fathom the millions of people who are suffering with this illness, AND the lack of medical attention and care continues. It's overwhelmingly oppressive and demoralizing for me. I guess I've  hit my limit.

Keep up the good work on this site. Continue to provide needed support and direction when able. You have all been a blessing.

I'm so sorry about your latest test results. Quest is one of the worst for returning reliable tick-borne infection test results!! Seriously. They have the worst track record that I know of.

And the fact that your LLND started sharing his religious beliefs and hinting around that being ill is your fault for living with anyone is ridiculous and unethical. What a jerk!

I'm so very sorry for all the bad experiences that you've had - and you've had quite a few!!! There are sooo many doctors out there that don't understand these infections, yet say they do.

After my abx failure (with a well-respected LLMD that had been treating patients successfully for years), I was ready to give up too - I had to come home on my own (hubby and I were traveling due to his work), and was so very, very ill -definitely the lowest I've ever been. I called the kids and had them come up to the house so that I could talk with them in person. I wasn't responding to treatments - as a matter of fact, they were making me worse. I thought it was truly over. Fortunately, my hubby wasn't ready to loose me yet - but I had a long way to go before I would be okay again.

I started with detoxing. I knew that I was toxic. I didn't do any treatments during this time, just detoxing and scrutinizing everything that I put on or in my body. No more toxins that my body was going to have to fight to get out.

I was able to get myself stable again (no more passing out and seizures), but I couldn't think well enough to really be able to analyze natural treatments, so I chose to rely on a Master Herbalist (to be fair, she was also a Traditional Chinese Medicine doctor and Master Acupuncturist). She had never knowingly treated tick-borne infections before, but had agreed to read some articles that I brought to her. Together we figured out how to treat me, and now I have no more active symptoms of any of my tick-borne infections.

Don't give up!!! Just because the recognized medical "professionals" in your area don't know what they are talking about, doesn't mean that you can't heal!! You will likely have to rely on yourself to learn a lot about these infections and how to treat, but you can do this!!

Can you travel outside your area for treatment/consults? Let's put our heads together and see if we can't come up with some viable options for you!!

I feel so bad for you! Please don't give up....get the Igenex testing and change doctors....

Forget what ignorant doctors tell you -we all know that an antidepressant won't help with an infection even if they don't. With a positive from Igenex, you do have Lyme.

Have you had any treatment other than the ND that thought he was Lyme literate?

Once you take a break from the rat race, you might change your mind. Please do stay in contact with us!!

Please don't let the mental abuse destroy your spirit. I've been there too with doctors and my family.

Please have your fiancee or adult children if you have them help you with this mess. They could do some research for you and read the literature for you and get you the things you need.

Oh cocoon I feel so sad for u. I just said a prayer for god to help u somehow find the strength to keep fighting. If u look for it you will find it. If u have a fiance then that means someone loves you dearly. You have to fight for that. Giving up is letting those nasty doctors win. You can't do that! Reread what traveler wrote and read how many of us are rooting for u. I can't imagine how tired u are of it all but please don't give up!!!!

We are all being impacted by pesticides and vaccinations and would all benefit from getting rid of toxins.

Cocoon, I am so sorry about how difficult things have been for you! All I can suggest is that you take activated charcoal (mold and toxin removal), just in case you do have mold but it helps with all toxins, methylated folate in case you have MTHFR (it only helps even if you don't have it), and you might want to look into colloidal silver. You don't need a prescription for it and I had great results when I was taking it. I took nano silver from Purest Colloids. I am praying for your continued healing! Also, there is Serene by Neuroscience that helps with the emotional ups and down or Holy Basil by New Chapter. I wish I was there to give you a hug!
