I am so frustrated right now. Burbur made me feel sick/throw up. One drop. Not going to be able to take my $200 Cowden Protocol if I can't even take a drop of Burbur...

I'm sorry you reacted so bad from it. Can you talk to someone at the company that makes it? Maybe they'd have some suggestions. That would be a shame of you can't use the protocol. You might want to look through the Jernigan protocol since he seems to focus more on building up your immune system. Others on here that have used his products can tell you more about
it since I've only read his new book and haven't used his products at this time.

Really? Can you add a drop to lots of water and try again? It's for detox, so you can still do the protocol. You can probably use a different detox agent.

Start slowly, or don't take it!

No negative reaction to Burbur for me and eases herx very quickly.
I did try huttanuya (sp?) for Bartonella. 1st drop I was fine. Next day I took 2 drops and had bad diarrhea. I stopped taking it but now over a week later I still have a problem with loose stools. I'm also upset that I pain $30 for this herb and now I can't take it....
Burbur is great for detox... May you would still be able o use the Cowden protocol without the Burbur and use something else or detox. I'm having good results with Chlorella.

Houttuynia is an antimicrobial, essentially, an antibiotic herb. Abx can cause diarrhea.

I've been on antibiotics for 1.5 years and have kept diarrhea under control with high probiotic intake. I've been on this antibiotic combo for a long time without problems. As soon as I added the Houttuynia, the diarrhea started. I upped my probiotic intake and started taking Critical Colon and have gotten a little better. It's definitely strong stuff. I might have not reacted to it this way if I took it alone and not along with antibiotics.

What else can you use apart form Houtt to treat Babs and Bart?
What's a good herbal treatment for Babesiosis?

I don't react bad on it...
I would try to contact Nutrademix, I read before that they respond to questions.
Good luck, and please let us know what their answer was. That would be great to hear cause it could help others in the future.

I'm taking 15 drops of burbur, pinella, and parsley in a large glass of water twice a day. But I have to let the water sit for an hr or so in order to let all of the alcohol evaporate. Even so, I still feel a little nausea right when I start drinking it (I have a lot of yeast/fungal issues, so the alcohol - even the fumes - can give me a reaction).
People react to things because they either have an ALLERGY to them, or they have a herx reaction. A herx reaction is good information because that means you're targeting something that needs attention. But many experts warn that herxing to an extreme can be very hard on the body and possibly detrimental.
Detoxing is a process and for me it has been a couple of stages. I would try a different detox support agent - and then maybe once you continue detoxing successfully, I bet you could at some point tolerate things you couldn't previously tolerate. In my experience, I have always tried to stick with something that seemed to be working - and by "working" I mean it's causing some impact. Now, there are times when it simply cannot be tolerated and if there are alternatives, sometimes it's important not to overburden your body.
