Thank you, Stkitt!!
Hi Julie!!
Welcome to our community!! I'm so very sorry to read about
your falling.
Are you in treatment for Lyme, did you complete your treatments, are you currently in treatment or are you completely untreated?
If you haven't yet, please read through our "New to Lyme? Start here!" thread that sits at the top of the forum. It's packed with important information that will be helpful as you heal from these infections.
Unfortunately, I'm one who has fallen frequently while I was untreated and while I was going through treatments - my balance has gotten somewhat better since then fortunately! Is it possible that when you fell, some of the discs in your lower back got knocked "out of place" causing the pain? I've has such serious sciatic pain from a fall that it's laid me up for nearly a week before I could get it under control. I've also injured the muscles in my back and that took what felt like a long time to heal.
Now the loneliness of having a chronic condition is another thing. You need to find some hobbies to help you. What do you like to do? Gardening? You can always keep a few pots of flowers around or even a tomato plant and some herbs.
Painting? Then take up painting or take online lessons.
Reading? There's groups you can participate in online for this too.
Quilting and other needle work is what helped me keep from going bonkers, but I'm not very social really.

You can come here and read to learn more and post and make friends with those that understand what you are dealing with!
