An elderly lady I know who has done copious amounts of research on bacteria, parasites etc ( her hobby ) told me yesterday that Lyme disease epidemic is actually a Bioweapon - that this Borrelia genus has been a Biowar experiment since as far back as WWII. Makes me wonder as there is so much politics surrounding this disease. This is extremely scary to think about
. What do you make of this?

It's not true IMO. The government did a lot of testing on bioweapons at Plum Island and this could have led to increased virulence, but Otzi, the Ice Man found frozen in the Alps had the Borrelia bacteria so it's been here for a long time.

G.H. - I thought about
that Alp mummy too, but isn't it weird how the 7 people associated with the discovery and testing of this ice man died - 4 of them in a really strange way? Too creepy.
Pirouette - good question.

A centuries old mummy can test positive, and ... well ... you get the point

There is a definitely link between the explosion of autism, lyme disease, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, etc ... I feel the roots all come from the same tree ...
It is a very interesting topic as to why these health issues have really come to the forefront ... we could say that perhaps lyme has always effected people, but it was simply called something else ( ALS, Guillain Barr, etc )
This doesn't explain the increased incidence of autism though ...
Of interest, I have read that there is virtually no MS in areas such as India, Africa and South America ... the theory was that in areas of the world that are less developed, the human immune system functions in a different way as things like parasites and malaria are common ...
There are other differences, such as fertility drugs, antibiotics, EMF exposure, toxic/mercury dental fillings, etc - all these things are commonplace in areas where chronic illness has exploded ...

Here's some food for thought, perhaps they aren't more virulent, maybe we are just more susceptible.
This would be my guess.

... something to keep in mind, a I know this might sound very strange, but it is our immune systems that attack the bacteria, not the bacteria that attack our bodies ..
Don't get me wrong - time for eviction, and for these little ************* to get the heck out ..
But I believe the difference is how we are responding, which is based, either in part or entirely, on the toxins of modern society
