I just read this article. I am from FL and this made me so glad to read this. I have a good friend in FL that was just diagnosed with Lyme.

Also, my cousin works at a urgent care center in S.FL. Patient came in with arthritis and the DR actually thought Lyme. Diagnoses: Positive for Lyme. So, the word is getting out. Have faith!

I read the article...wow...there's progress!!! Lyme disease isn't even looked at here in Canada when you show up with a multitude of symptoms affecting so many areas of the body. The patient has to be the one who asks...but too often (as in my case) , we are shrugged off as "Lyme disease is so rare"....hello!! No, it's not!

Now Canada needs to catch up....

I only wish I had pushed sooner about considering Lyme - then I would have had early treatment....
