Dear fellow sufferers,

I've been wanting to log in for awhile now to share my happiness and complete bliss of having overpowered these infections!!

The truth is I've been out living and LoVING my life and health, friends and family. I'm building my business again and just bought a new Prius (I'm back doing what most people do is what I' saying).

Oh boy was I soooooooooooooooo sick, helpless, depressed, anxious (Bart), and was convinced that I would NEVER heal much less get a fraction of my life back. Please let my story give you hope to keep trying anything and everything to rid this infection.

I wish I could help others -- so many of you helped and supported me in my darkest days last year. So I'm here for you.

No symptoms remain and have been completely gone since December of last year. I'm sleeping undisturbed for TEN consecutive hours..... Here if anyone needs help. I'm in Southern California and am thinking about starting a blog for support.

yes! These kinds of stories are SO needed for people going through this awfulness. Thanks for sharing and that is so great that you feel so great! I want to be there too- enjoying my life and feeling great and past all of this. So glad it worked for you.

How long were you sick and how long did you treat and do you have any tips on things that really helped you? What helped you the most with bartonella, and what did you try?

Hooray!!! Congrats on clearing the disease completely. As we all know getting over Lyme is like running a never ending marathon.

Can you go into a little more detail about your protocol and what you found to help you the most? Which abx? Which herbs?

Just looking at your signature, it looks like you got some major help with minocycline, omnicef, and tinidazole. Also factive is the superb antibiotic I hear about for Bartonella, some say even active against Lyme. I am on minocycline and tinidazole and I will agree these have worked very well but I wonder if I need to get on the omnicef, a cell wall drug too? I am about 99% better but I STILL have something in my brain, I don't know if it's Lyme, Bartonella, or Mycoplasma.

What did you do to prevent adverse reactions to Factive? Anything special?

Yes all I wanted to hear was that it's possible -- not even probable -- just possible to get my health back. And there's not much of those stories out there. I imagine because more people are healing than we know of!

So I was sick for about a year (or more, contradicting the Chronic Lyme at one year theory ....). Was undiagnosed for about 6 or so months. Very sick: cd-57 was 29!!

My instincts told me the following helped eradicate the infections, for me anyway:

Serrepeptase to bust Biofilms: (12,000 SPU twice daily) I would NeVER miss a serving (I took "Best Proteolytic Enzymes" from Doctor's Best) - who knows perhaps the other enzymes like Bromelain, bacterial protease etc helped?? This is what I took...these are ingested on on empty stomach (timed them 2 hours before/after food.)

The herbs helped as much as the antibiotics -- but I personally believe the 2 together did the job: herbs I took (did this every day for the 1st 4 to 6 months or so:)

All of the herbs I took about a dropper full (30 drops or so) because I never seemed to herx.

***** CINNAMON BARk - to help the herbs/antibiotics get delivered!!!

* Mediterranean oregano oil

* Olive Leaf oil

* Banderol

* Samento

* Cumunda

* Colloidal silver ( "Sovereign Silver" brand - 5 to 10 drops)

Antibiotics:

Took cedfidir (omniceft?) and minocycline every day (without missing a dose!!! for 6 months with tindimax pulsing on and off every two weeks despite how tired and depressed it made me.

Then after 6 months: 2 months of an antibiotic for the Bart-- I can't think of the name of it now but I'll look it up and get back to you. My LLmD said it's the only one thats super effective for Bart. It gave me hives at first but he had me try again due to its effectiveness. And I ordered from Northwest pharmacy.com -- it came from overseas (generic)-- it's about $1200 month in US. I paid $130- hahhaha!!

HH tea: During the last month or so I drank the HH tea - made from the whole leaf and strained. It tastes really good!!!

Diet: we (my loving and wonderful boyfriend of 9 years) juiced kale, spinach, cucumber for the base, ginger and lemon almost every morning. I tried to eat as healthy as possible, ate gluten, didn't drink coffee (but I'm back drinking it yay!). I did have occasional glasses of wine, etc. I wasnt too strict with my diet but was mindful and tried to eat healthfully.

Milk thistle: 250 mg for the liver once or 2x daily (can't remember).

Chlorella (lots of it) important to bind to toxins

Infrared Sauna: I only did this for about a month-- called a local spa and they had a special for a monthly membership for only $125

***** I think this next one was crucial: I took the morning antibiotic and would heat up my body -- hot yoga (toward the end of treatment) or a hot bath-- I believed that opening up the cells would help deliver the herbs/antibiotics to the deeply hidden places.

Drugs I had to take daily to function:

lorazapan (to help with the anxiety caused by Bart)

Remeron 15 mg at bedtime. (prescribed to help me sleep- it will KNoCK you out) endo also prescribed it to spur my appetite, was given this prior to being diagnosed. Remeron saved my life because I was able to get a great night's sleep.

An antidepressant- it didn't seems to work very well.

Supplements to support the body:

IP6 (inositol Hexaphosphate)- 500 mg (jarrow formula)
ProDHA 1,000 strawberry (so you don't burn fish oil) Nordic naturals
Co-q10- important for building the body back up
Vitamin C
Methyl support for my MTHFR

Tea: drank a lot of detoxing tea and decaf green tea.

Sources of inspiration: the Tick Slayer! She's awesome and was my inspiration to hear her story of complete healing.

What I learned: friends and family want to help but many people drop off of your universe because they don't know the right thing to say or do. You'll forgive them once you heal (or realize some people aren't worth paying much attention to anymore) and end up forgiving most who you perceived to have forgotten about you. This is our perception and it's difficult for healthy people (even the most compassionate of them) to understand and sympathize with you when you're sick.

The good news is my boyfriend has shown no symptoms of contracting this-- I was sooooooooon worried as many people (include my LLMD) think it's entirely possible to pass on via sexual contact.

So-- this is all I can remember right now- need to get ready to teach a bunch of yoga classes today. Yay.

#lymepickle: thanks for the recollection: Factive is what I took for Bart during the last 2 months of my treatment.

The US sourced Factive gave me terrible hives on every square inch of my body (can I share pictures here ??) It was Awwwwwful. I think I was in the HOT desert sun the day I started it. Anyway, LLMD insisted that I try it again-- this time I sourced from www.Northwesternpharmacy.com-- they cost match all of the Canadian Pharmacy sites etc so shop around.

It took about a month or so to receive this antibiotic and only cost me about $130 for about 2 month supply, whereas in the US The cost would have been $2400 plus.

I think I'll turn on my email address in case any of you need support. It's hard to remIn hopeful when you feel so crappy -- I know-- but I hope my story of complete healing will inspire you to keep trying anything and everything until you too rid these bacterial infections from your body.

Ps I was feeling so sick (nauseous and terrible) at the end of the 9 months after KILLING the bacteria and with all the toxic load left in my body- and with all the HEAVy antibiotics -- I finally tried a colonic (water up you know where)-- at the recommendation of my loving practitioner - due to how sick I felt she recommended a 10-day cleanse with no food and 10 consecutive colonics-- after a few weeks (or months maybe) I started feeling like myself again!!!

I somewhat abruptly took myself off all herbs in December 2013. I was finished with antibiotics, according to my LLMd. Because My goal was to start a family- and because I'm 40 now-- my obgyn wanted me get off all supplements- was a little concerned at first but adhered and am so glad 6 months later I'm super healthy with no symptoms. I did remain on krill oil, co-q10 and a prenatal. Also taking iodine.

Needhelp: the lorazapam 0.5 mg is what I took for the anxiety. I tried everything, all the natural remedies. Nothing touched it. Was on this daily -1 pill in the morning from November 2012 to about September 2013. It was pretty easy to wean from (despite hearing how terrible it can be).

Maine76 -- I suspect I had been sick at least a year. The antibody test for a recent infection was positive... Not sure how that could be-- the 1st really bad symptoms started for me in Oct 2012 and tested positive in Jan 2013, but the stu-id physicians said my test was a false positive based on living in Southern California and no exposure or traveling....

I think back, however, and in recall feeling "off" since the summer of 2012. Started antibiotics April 10 2013 -- off of treatment by December 26, 2013.

Reading all of everyone's suffering makes me so sad and reminds me of how truly terrible all of these symptoms were.... And of how I didn't want to live anymore :(. I will be back on the site to share as I remember more of which things helped me .

I am confident it's gone and hope with everything I have it n E V E R returns.

I am soooo happy for you!!! I can remember last year how miserable and sick that you felt. You have joined the chorus singing the song that it is possible to get your life back with this illness. Thanks for encouraging the members that need to hear that message.

Just be careful to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and your illness will recede into being a distant memory.

Don, thank you!! You were SO helpful last year. Reading your posts about Heather and all the information you provided about supporting your body while it fights these nasty infections was invaluable. And you even talked to me on the phone when I was freaking out LoL!! Thank you for everything!!!
