other insects transmit lyme?

Hi, does anyone know if Lyme disease can be transmitted by a mosquito?
Just wondering because I read a post about that other insects transmitting.

Yes, I'm almost positive. If you think a about it, it makes sense. If a mosquito bites a person with lyme and then bites a person that doesn't, seems like a mode of transmission to me. Also fleas and mites too I believe.

Maybe it was a mosquito who infected me. I never saw a tick, but I had a mosquito bite on my lower leg...that I scratched, but it kind of hurt and went red and swelled a bit...not like most of my mosquito bites. That was last summer. I thought at the time...it was an unusual reaction.

Yes. Lyme can most likely be transmitted by those pesky blood-bearing insects: so mosquitoes, horse flies, deer flies, mites, fleas, spiders and biting ex-wives too.

Dont forget body fluids, such as urine, tears, semen, blood and breast milk as well.
