Hello
New to this forum and desperately seeking some glimmers of hope that Lyme is not as bad as I currently think. Husband diagnosed several months ago after 10 years of being sick. He tested positive on a blood test ordered at an Australian hospital, and then we paid for bloods to be tested at InfectoLab in Germany which also showed positive for Lyme, Babesiosis and one other (cant remember). We think he got Lyme while serving in the army. He is currently doing IV, IM and oral antibiotics, antivirals and herbal remedies.
Now I have read that it is possible for Lyme to be transmitted by any bodily fluid......
I haven't been tested but I have been suffering a while with restless legs and insomnia, involuntary twitches that wake me and fine tremors in my hands and arms. I have also suffered from depression (including suicidal thoughts) over the last 9-12 months, and that and Insomnia has big issues for me. I am medicated for the depression but i still have really bad days. For the insomnia I already tried giving up caffeine, stopped all alcohol, tried sleeping pills and am now trying melatonin to help regulate by sleeping. But no matter what I try, as much as my brain wants to sleep, I have to keep moving my legs and that keeps me awake.
What do you think? I will go and get tested, but do you think these symptoms could all be Lyme, or are they separate issues? I am desperate to stop the Restless legs and fix the insomnia. Going to work tired every day makes life very hard...
I look forward to any responses.
