The purpose of this thread is to keep everyone updated on Heather's journey, and to talk about
some new insights that I have recently had regarding treatment and lifestyle precautions. In fact, I really have a lot to talk about
. I will not go into great detail about
some of these things on this post, but I will post a separate thread for each of these topics so as to keep this post from becoming even larger. I will then come back to this thread and post links to each of the other threads after I post them.
Here is a link to a long thread that I started last September when I summarized Heather's journey thus far.

The next step in Heather's journey is that she swam extremely well at her conference swim meet and just missed qualifying for the NCAA D1 championship meet in two events. The conference meet was near the end of February, but she had some new symptoms appear from early February to early May. Heather insists that they were unlike the symptoms that she had when she was sick, and that this is NOT a relapse of her illness. These symptoms included migraine headaches and brain fog/ inability to concentrate in her studies. She failed to tell us about
her new symptoms until the end of March which was about
4 weeks after the conference meet.
Heather took a 7 week hiatus from all athletic training per the campus physician's orders. We contacted her MD back home and he ordered a whole battery of tests including Western Blot for Borrelia which turned out to be CDC positive once again while all other test results were good just like before. The campus MD suspected that she was experiencing "overtraining". He also received copies of all the test results. When Heather had a follow-up visit with the campus doc he didn't even bring up the topic of a CDC positive WB test result! I had told Heather to not even bring the issue up if the doctor didn't because he would have no idea on how to approach the situation anyhow!
I wish that Heather had communicated her strange new symptoms to us in a more timely manner. At any rate, she expressed that that 3 month period was the most stressful period that she had in her life. She had anxiety over the conference meet because it was the pinnacle of all the hard work that she had done all year. She also wanted to do well enough so that she could increase the amount of her athletic scholarship. She also had anxiety over maintaining her high GPA for her courses. There was a tremendously high level of emotional stress that she hid from us and internalized.
There was also the physiological side of things. She had been diagnosed with "Secondary Adrenal Insuffiency" about
a year prior, so she has been taking low doses of hydrocortisol. She had 9 swimming and weight training practices a week which were very grueling. She was up at 5:30 A.M. and sometimes went to bed late because of studying. I don't feel that she was getting enough sleep. Heather also went wild for 2 weeks after her conference meet by ingesting lots of refined sugars, dairy, and glutens although she is allergic to them.
In addition, her practice pool didn't turn out to be chlorine-free as we had been led to believe. She was breathing in the toxic fumes and trans-dermally absorbing that toxic substance. She developed a small asthmatic like cough that she had all season but went away when after she stopped going to swim practice.
When all of these cumulative stressors were added up, it presented a tremendous challenge to her body, which sort of crashed after the conference meet.
My wife took Heather back to see Dr. J. at the Hansa Center in the second week of May after her finals were over. Dr. J. addressed these areas of concern: heart, endocrine system, emotions, toxicity, and pathogen load. He accomplished so much for Heather during her 5 days at the clinic.
Heather had an EKG test performed on her at the college only a few weeks prior (with normal results), but Dr. J. performed his own test that gives a better picture of cardiac health. His test is called the PhonoCardiogram. Heather's heartbeat was very assymetrical, mushy, and leaky. Dr. J. said that it looked like the heartbeat of a person that is ready to have a heart attack. Then he performed NeuroCardial Synchronization to normalize Heather's heart beat over the course of 4 treatments over 4 days. The results were phenomenal. Her heart beat was then symmetrical, crisp, and non-leaky. I will be posting a separate thread on Heather's heart issue later, but here is a link to a Youtube presentation in which Dr. Jernigan explains and demonstrates the test and treatment:

Here is a link to an article that explains some astounding new information that goes into deeper detail than Dr. J. gave in his presentation. I will be devoting an entire thread to the heart in another thread. This information makes my prior "knowledge" about
the heart seem rather primitive and stone age in comparison.

Heather had relatively high levels of ammonia in her brain and heart. Dr. J. used his antitox remedies as well as Hibiscus to eliminate it.
While Dr. J. does not believe that the pathogen load is ever the main issue when addressing the illness, he does believe that it is a secondary factor. I was surprised to hear that he used a Byron White product on Heather to help to lower the pathogen load, since it was a bit higher than what it was last August. Also, she was only there for a week, so he wanted to obtain maximum results in a very short period of time. Dr. J. uses some products from several of the more popular "protocols" if he feels that they would be helpful. These include Buhner, Byron White, and Zhang. On the other hand, if an (herbal) product is known to be antimicrobial but is not energetically compatible with what he is trying to accomplish, then he will not use it.
Dr. J. also tested Heather's body reaction to a sample of the pool water in which she practices. Her body strongly reacted negatively. He formulated a remedy for her to take that he said will nullify the harmful effects that the chlorine/other pool chemicals causes to her body.
Dr. J. tested the electromagnetic effects that her laptop computer had on her body. It had a strong negative effect. He then tested her while using a "pad" that he uses to mitigate the harmful electromagnetic frequencies from his own laptop computer. The pad mitigates the harmful electromagnetic radiation for Heather as well. We went on to purchase such a pad from a person that makes them for Dr. Klinghardt's patients near Seattle, Washington. We also purchased a special blanket to protect her while she sleeps. Here is a link:

Dr. J. did some cranio-sacral and fascia release work on her. He uses a lot of energetic and physical manipulation type of treatments to eliminate emotions that have manifested in the physical structures of the body. He sent her home with several remedies of which I do not know the specifics. In this case, she didn't really experience much as far as symptom relief while she was there, but she reported that all of her symptoms abruptly went away after she returned back to college. She resumed training at a schedule that Dr. J. had constructed, and will increasingly become more rigorous over the next 4 weeks.
Heather reports that she feels "great", whereas she hasn't during the previous 3 months. She is already taking a summer class and training in both the pool and the weight room. We have decided to waive our parental requirement that she get a part time job this summer. We are encouraging her to get extra rest when she isn't training or studying. We have also had a lot of discussion about
emotional stress reduction and how to handle the stresses of life.
Although I didn't go to the clinic and witness the treatment, I have been reflecting upon the Heather's circumstances and her treatment at the clinic. Dr. J. simultaneously addressed the various areas of concern during the 5 days at the clinic. Knowing what I know now, I realize that the endocrine glands and cardiac function all go together, since the heart is also a "brain" and endocrine gland in its own right- according to Dr. Salem's article. It seems to me that the heart is the key to the recovery of Heather's body systems and glands. I can't help but think that such an approach would benefit many of the members on the forum. Since the heart maintains its own electromagnetic field, it would be beneficial in the least to protect oneself from such harmful electromagnetic radiation. Cell phones, smart meters, cordless phones, computers, etc. I will be posting a separate thread on that issue as well, since it is a HUGE issue. While we tend to assess the individual nuts and bolts pieces of the body, it is also important to assess the sum total aggregate load on the body. This includes the total person including the mind and spirit. I am tired and rambling at this point, but I can return and clean it up later. Let's get some discussion going!
Once again, I don't at all consider Heather to have suffered a relapse. In fact, i consider the increased pathogen load to be a symptom and not a cause. It is clear to me that the sum total of all stressors was very heavy, and caused gradual deterioration. She was able to perform well in the pool and at school, nontheless.
