still feel bad

5 days into rifampin, about 40 days into protocol all together and I still feel bad. My ears are still ringing and today they hurt ad have pressure. The immediate reactions to the rifampin is lessening but now I am doubting that anything is even working. I hope this is still just part of the process. I get hope that I will beat this then when I still feel this bad I get discouraged. 

I have massive ear issues, on one side. Blocked ear, vibrating eardrum, loud echo, tinnitus, my ear is a train wreck. I think it's lyme but I'm not sure.

Kate, just about everything seems to originate from my right ear/jaw/neck area ... I have all the signs of bartonella - red lines and dots on skin, burning pain, emotional issues ( to say the least ), little lumps under the skin, bad foot and leg pain ...

I also have contsant ringing in my right ear - what is odd is that sometimes my jaw will crack on the right side and the ringing completely changes or disappears for a short time ... I have had MRIs and panoramic x-rays that show no structural issues ...

I think these things just need a lot of time to be beaten

there's a lyme dr. with 8 + years experience in San Diego who seems very knowledgable. She's written the book called "The Lyme Diet" (Dr. Nicola McF.)
Anyway, she has an interview on youtube, talking briefly about lyme, and her experience in treating it, and just some general info.
She talks specifically about the co-infections and what symptoms often go with certain ones. (She has a lot of experience too, so I think she knows her stuff.)
I remember there was a co-infection that she said the ears ring with and said it "loves the head" with lots of symptoms having to do with the pain in different parts of the head.
You could look up the interview online. It's about 25 minutes I think, very interesting and informative and may answer your question.

if you google "dr. nicola, lyme, youtube" it comes up as the first hit I think. Next to her name is: "treatment for chronic..."

thanks my doctors say they are not sure ( I think?) if I have babesia but I am being treated for lyme babesia and bartonella.

and I feel that this is either bartonella or babesia .... I have tested positive for both on blood tests, but I have a lot of the classic bartonella red lines and markings ..... perhaps these red marks could be from babesia instead ? ... both effect the red blood cells ...
