Doggie help!

One of my dogs,Nell.a wirehaired dachshund,has mild arthritis and has been prescribed Green Lipped Mussel extract for dogs( canosan)

She was limping, sometimes the front right side and then the left side and she couldn't climb the stairs.

Anyway,after about 3 weeks,she began to improve and is now much more mobile

I would think that Lyme arthritis in dogs might be helped by GLME...........I take the human equivalant and it's really helped my joint problems which are Lyme related.

So scared13, my dog had the limping that would switch legs and sides and she also had intermittent seizures. I don't know what the best thing is for your dog but I believe my pup almost died from the medications causing too many toxins. My dog got to the point the bet said to put her down would be best for both of us. My dog was my best friend for 18 years, I got her as a teenager and she was there for me through my young adult life and I wasn't about to let her down. So I did tons of research and found hat dogs need really healthy raw diets just like we do when they gets lymes and parasitic infections. I took my dog off all medicines, with caution and with paying a lot of attention to symptoms and suffering. I stopped feeding he any dry or wet processed dog food or treats. I researched all the foods that are immune boosters, anti oxidants, anti bacterials and energy boosters. I made her a blended baby food like smoothie of things like organic turkey and chicken, bone broth and marrow, and have her bone broth and marrow as a snack often, coconut oil, flax seed oil, hemp seed, pumpkin seed oil, walnut oil, heirloom rice, ghee, red palm oil, kale, brocollini, carrots, lemon, blueberries, apple, spinach, yams, and other things and I would rotate it and just keep researching what was ok to feed her and what might work. It was a full time job caring for her the last year plus of her life and it was honestly the last time I still had my legs and could function normally. It was maybe not the best idea to put so much energy into her health while I was getting sicker but to me she was my little girl. I've had miscarriages my whole life and just haven't had a child and that dog was my child. It was well worth it and I would have done it for longer if I could have. Her health really did do a complete turn around when I removed the medicines and treated her with her diet. We also did doggie massage and chiropractic work on her. We didn't know what we were doing here either but we would do light back adjustments and massages and she loved it.
Take my story with caution though. Our doggies have two similar symptoms but I want your little one to be ok and she may very much need her medicines. She may also have a big herx from a huge diet change. My dog did have a couple seizures in a row and had a few other more minor problems with the switch. I thought she was getting sicker at first but all of the people in my life that knew my dog swear the diet is what changed it. If you can give your pup water massage in a tub or warm lake, it's amazing for their pain. Ask me anything, I love dogs so much. They are such servants of love to us. I wish you the very best.
