So I am finally practically symptom free, but I am not cured just yet. I know the lyme is still lingering - so besides taking my meds, and herbs, and nutritionals (to boost my immune system), I finally felt ready to start exercising. Maybe this is the last key to finally unlock the door which escapes this neverending battle!!
First up, my Dr said to do "total body sculpting", not to overdo it, and wait 2-3 days before exercising again.
This morning I did the following, and plan to do the same on Wednesday and then Saturday
In bench press position, I lifted 5lb weights in each hand. I did
15 reps x 3 times.
I then did the shoulder press exercise, with 5lb weights in each hand. I could only do 12 reps x 3 times
I did squats, holding an 8lb weight in each hand. I did 20 reps x 3 times.
Then I decided to exercise my abs, and I did double leg lowers - 15 reps, then 12 reps, then 10 reps.
Finally I went on the treadmill at a slight incline and walked at 3.0 for 10 minutes.
My toes did not get numb and I did not get palpitations - it was all good!! These symptoms occurred back in January before I realized I had lyme and before I got terribly sick when I was originally training for a 1/2 marathon with my husband - that plan fell apart, obviously, (glad I got out of it bc I hate running! LOL)
