I was wondering if someone here could lend me some advice. To make a very long story short I was tested positive for the following. I scheduled an appointment to see a LLMD this Friday but with some of the other abnormal findings I am also leaning to some type of Virus I have. Below is all the abnormal results from some extensive testing.
-----------
Complete blood count, with differential:
Platelet Count - 138 L (I had been around 150 and it
seems I been going lower over time with this test at the lowest).
Lymphocyte Absolute 1.09
Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
Albumin 5.1 H
Gamma Glutamyl Trans (GGT) 10 L
Anaplasma phagocytophilum Ab (Ehrlichia)
A. phagocytophilum IgG 1:64 Titer
Mycoplasma pneumonia Antibody, IgG
M. pneumonia Ab, IgG 4.31 H
---------
I am most concerned with the Lymphocyte Absolute being low which indicates an active infection. I can now tell you I am always sick and have a fever associated with being sick. I get sick 6 times a year min. The low platelet also has me concernbed but not as much as the later..I know that low platelet can also be an indicator of an infection with the Ehrlichia.. My main question is should I see this LLMD for the 1:64 titer and the low platelets and assume that this is all my issues? Or should I hold off and see a Infectous disease doctor as with low Lymphocyte Absolute would suggest. Thanks
