Has anyone experienced this as well?
I have been on Rifampin 600 mg for 3 weeks with all the normal side effects like spacing out which...whatever... it sucks but its part of the meds. I can deal with it. But the nerve pain I have experienced has escalated to something extreme.
On a scale of 10 it was a 3 now is a borderline 9/10. This is odd for me because in general I have an extremely high almost unusual pain tolerance. The last 2 weeks I wake up 10-15 times a night with a restless sciatica nerve pain down my entire leg. Not easy to sleep when your body is telling you need to get up and move around to shake it off.
I have tried a lot of physical therapy exercises, hot / cold, supplements, and different meds such as benadryl, tranquilizers, and pain killers. I am on codeine 10, but for me getting to that level of pain killers tells me "this is probably not good" and definitely not something any person should continue for an extended time. I am reading quiet a bit on this forum on different ideas. The product Nervefix was one. Others have mentioned magnesium supplements.
I am going to talk to my LLMD about
spacing out meds perhaps or even switching. I have my concerns about
lasting nerve damage if I try to play the man and tough it out.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
