Help with prep for 1st LLND appt.

So I am finally going to see someone who is Lyme Literate -on Saturday. I don't want to screw this up. (Something is definitely wrong with the system...when we go to the Dr. and it feels like we're going to a job interview)

This is what I have thought of.

1. I will bring a list of symptoms I am having and have had. Will the Doc dismiss the symptoms that I had that have subsided in the last couple months? Or will they be included in the diagnosis?

2. I will ask questions on treatment approach - what abx, what herbs she would prescribe.

3. I will ask the question - how long she would continue with treatment. Answer should be - until resolution of symptoms for one month?

4. I will ask if she will do telephone appts. so I don't have to do the 3 1/2 hour drive each way all the time.


Anything else I'm missing, please fill me in. I am excited, and at the same time worried - worried that she will not think I have Lyme...and not start treatment until results come in. I've heard that Igenex results are taking longer now - more than 3 weeks???

As an llnd, is she able to prescribe anti-biotics?

Ask if she works with your diet, detox issues, and your issues that are affected, like adrenals, etc.

Ask if she digs deeper and tests for possible other issues (everything is so connected) like MTHFR, and such.

I hope that this one is educated, a great listener, allows questions and is interested in any info you've researched, etc., and most importantly, sees YOU and your treatment(s) as the whole person you are and all that the L/co has affected, including your CNS, your personality, etc.
