Hello,
Best wishes to everyone. I'm sorry I've been off this site for over a month now.
I ended up losing internet for a couple weeks, then going on a 2 week cruise and then to Florida so I've been busy.
First, I am STILL off antibiotics. I don't know how long it's been, probably close to 4 months now. I still have symptoms but not too many and I am feeling better and better. I even renewed my gym membership and have been doing light cardio with some light weight training!
I am still taking Jernigan's formulas, herbal supplements, and Buhner herbs for Babesia. I still use the infrared sauna too. A LOT of my Babesia symptoms cleared up. I haven't had vertigo/dizziness in a long time. I still have some air hunger every now and then but that's about it. I plan on treating with the herbs for at least a year.
My TMJ pain which I always believed was Babesia has lessened almost to nothing since I started treating Babs so I believe my suspicions about it were right.
However, there are a few things I am wondering about.
The first one happened on the cruise. The first day, when it was still docked in NYC, they let us on the boat super early but we couldn't go to our rooms. So I just laid out in the sun for a few hours because it was very nice and warm that day.
Then, the next day, I laid out pretty much all day in the sun (with some breaks). I was still feeling great. Then, after dinner, I got a sore throat. Which I thought could have been because of the intense air conditioning that is always pumping on those boats.
By the next morning, I was deathly ill with a cold, fever, and ear ache.. It didn't ruin my trip too much and laying out in the sun felt good but I was wondering if the sun could of caused a herx. I say this because then when I was in Florida, it was only for a short trip so I only had 1 day at the beach. By the time I left the beach, I developed the sore throat and ear ache again but it only lasted a few hours and I didn't develop a cold at all this time.
Can the sun cause a herx? Or maybe it was my body temperature getting up higher since I was baking in the sun?
Also, when I flew to Florida (which if you remember, I posted about because I was SUPER nervous). The flights were good, only about 2 hours each way. I DID notice an increase in symptoms but not much. Mostly some fluttering sensations in my thyroid area and the most noticeable thing was my feet going almost completely numb. It was incredibly cold on the planes though so that could have played a part in my numb/cold feet. I wore socks and a pair of boots because I knew it would be cold but it didn't help much.
NOW, I am dealing with something else. I posted a long time ago about how I felt like I was starving all the time. That has come back with a vengeance and it is painful now. The feeling sort of comes up into my throat if that makes sense. I've had blood work done and they tested me for h. pylori and other stuff and everything came back great. I'm getting an ultrasound tomorrow though. My doctor thinks it could be an ulcer.
Could an ulcer be caused by antibiotics? Or the Lyme? I am very nervous about this.
Thanks!
Prayers and healing to all.
