Are my feelings normal??

Several of my symptoms are neurological. I get these twitches and convulsions, but sometimes I can stop them or prevent them - other times I can't. I find that if I think about them happening then sometimes that causes them, but then other times I'll just be going about my business not thinking about it and they totally catch me off guard. This makes me think that maybe I'm just crazy. Maybe I'm doing something wrong and it's my fault that I'm not getting better and I keep having these issues. I've also found that more and more my muscles feel shaky and weak and I drop things. Part of me thinks that this must just be the Lyme, but then there's part of me that thinks maybe I'm just physically getting weak and I need to get it together. I'm also constantly in pain and it's hard to ignore it sometimes, but I at times I think that maybe if I did just ignore it, it would go away. I can't get these thoughts out of my head that maybe I'm doing something wrong and it's all my fault that I can't get better even with treatment. I feel so bad for the strain I've put on my loved ones and I just want to move forward. Does anyone else have these feelings? Like maybe your arm twitches and you can't figure out if you somehow meant to do it or not? Is it normal to question how in control of your body you actually are when all these crazy symptoms keep popping up?

The same thing happens to me. It’s be going on so long now I no longer think I am crazy. I can’t control it any more than I can control my optic neuritis or my red burring hands. I also have night tremors sometimes. Can’t do anything about that either. Don’t beat yourself up about it. It just comes with the territory.

I get the crawly stuff on the skin, too, but I don't even list it as a symptom because my others are so much worse...that the crawlies don't really bother me.
Vibrations feel like what you'd imagine if your finger was in a light socket. A buzzing in the body. Almost like you have a "buzzer" in you.
I mostly get it down my right leg to my foot. But sometimes it's in my back, too. It was one of my first symptoms. So, I paid for an MRI of my brain to see if I had MS. It was clear. But not one Dr. has even considered that symptom. They just say "I don't know about that...but i think you have "frozen shoulder" or they shrug their shoulders and say "Menopause has many faces". Those are two examples of answers I have had.

In the beginning, I wasn't able to reassure myself, as I thought I had depression/anxiety because of my situation. I cried a lot, and my husband tried to reassure me...but he didn't know what was going on.

Now, when I feel bad, I try to say...it's Lyme...it will get better.
But, If I don't get a positive diagnosis...I'll have trouble saying it's Lyme.

But, you do have a diagnosis...and just keep telling yourself that it will get better, but it will take time. Remember you've had symptoms for two years...it will take longer.
