Hi I'm new and not very techy. Anyway, just went to my doctor for a rash that through my research may be lyme disease related. They quickly dismissed lyme d. and are referring me to a dermatologist for a biopsy. The rash is not itchy or painful, is a round circle, but clear inside. I really want to find a dr. that knows about lyme d. in the Lansing or Jackson area of Michigan. Are there any recommendations.

Hopefully someone will come along with a doctor suggestion! It's good you're looking into Lyme right away and that you knew about it. Good luck!

You are doing the right thing by finding a good doctor !!

How can any doctor "dismiss" lyme without even taking a blood test ?!?!?! ... That is infuriating

Sorry I can't help with a doc recommendation ( I'm in NJ ), but if all else fails, just go to a Immediate Care Clinic and lie and tell them you pulled a tick out and demand a WESTERN BLOT lyme test ...

I thought about doing that at one point... Just lying and saying there was a tick and a rash to a new doc. Sad, but true.

Welcome to our community! If you haven't already, it would be helpful for you to start with reading through the thread at the top of the forum titled,"New to Lyme?...Start here!!", as it is packed full of important information, symptom lists (as Lyme rarely occurs by itself), helpful links and pdf's, how to detox when one has these infections, and a list of questions that you can ask any doctor that you are seeking treatment from!
