A lot of people who are better are off these forums:) I looked at old post from years ago and I don't recognize any of the usernames. I like to believe a lot r better and have moved on with their life.

I know two success stories. My sister's friend had lyme for over three years. He got treatment and has been perfectly fine for over 4 years now. The other is my brother in laws coworker who was sick with Lyme for a little over a year and got treated and now he is doing great. He works out almost everyday. Owns his own business now and has two children:)

I was first bitten when I was 8 which resulted in a meningitis. I was bitten by fleas when I was 19 and dr. Sponaugle thinks that I got Bartonella from them according to the symptoms I developed after the bites. I got bitten again in November 2011. I collapsed in August 2013. I tried to work but after a very bad reaction to Azithromycin in January I had to stop working. I decided I was going to Sponaugle where I was for 5 weeks. It was enough to give me a jumpstart on my healing. I was finally properly diagnosed and started my journey towards healing. I lost my teaching job due to my disease. However, I have experienced so much improvement that I am able to hold a full time job at a local grocery store. I do the salad bar which means I am running all day and lifting heavy tubs with salads. In February I was barely crawling around my house. There are still issues I need to address but major improvement so far. I am so thankful for it and I believe that eventually I will be completely well and better than I was before.

i am having treatment from a dif. dr, yes. dont feel better yet, but my case is severe so it will take more time. We will see....)

my dr. says i will feel worse before i feel better, i stil cant read, that is the most discouraging part of this for me. so to hear inspiring stories would help me and possibly others ....

and thank you Lymebabe, for sharing your story, sorry about the teaching situation, yet that is great news you are able to work, and to do a lot of physical labor, just lifting things a few times can be a lot, so i am really happy for your success! :)

Hi I am a success story!!! At least I like to think I am. But I am still treating because I want to treat it enough to make sure it will never come back. I have enough reason to believe 99.99% of the Lyme is toast. But to get that last 0.01% is tough.

The only thing I have is very minor nerve issues. I am unsure if these nerve issues are from the damage done or what but that is my last lingering symptom. The nerves might take a while to heal.

I had great success with a 4 drug combo minocycline + septra DS + tinidazole + Plaquenil. That turned things around fast for me and I got much much better in just 6 weeks.

I am now treating with amoxicillin, a cell wall drug now to try and get rid of some floaters in my eyes and to dissolve some last stragglers in the brain. I am taking GSE now as it is much milder more easily tolerated cyst buster.
