Strange red splotched rash on my feet after showers.

So this symptom has only occurred since the Lyme disease struck me.

I have a red splotched rash on both of my feet sometime after I have a shower. It doesn't always happen but I do notice it every now and then.

Does anyone have any idea what that is?

I don't have a rash...but the tops of my feet have a red patch...but not really a rash...just a reddish colour.

And periodically i have itchy skin, including the tops of my feet.

I get all bent out of shape thinking about all these weird things since Lyme...and wondering if I'm overlooking something.

I have a nodule of some sort on the top of my right foot, too. It's under the skin and it looks like maybe a tendon...or a vein has a bulge.

We can just hope that when all's said and done, we are back to the way we were before lyme. sigh

Yes!!! Same thing as me! It is like a red patch, like one big one at the top of the foot but it is splotched a little in some places.

Okay at least I'm not alone on this one.

I wonder what it is from? Lyme or bartonella? I wonder why I only get the rash on the tops of my feet?

Hey I had this happen a few times too! I would guess it is related to Bartonella - bc Bartonella likes the feet. But its just a guess - mention it to your Dr, I will ask mine too, bc I forgot about it.

Mike - It may be one of my posts - I did recently see on a LLND's website that neuro pain, and vibrations/electrical feelings are associated with bart.
I'm thinking that's my co.

Yes, rifampin is supposed to kill the bart. The problem for me is I'm on doxy...and I read that it can reduce the concentration of doxy in the blood. So, i either find something else to add to doxy, or I change my doxy to mino.

I have read that bart can also be treated with a macrolide and tetracycline...so I'm thinking of adding zithro to my doxy.

Chapelle used bactrim ds and zithro, so I can maybe add the bactrim ds after...and maybe drop the doxy.

Hi girlie I talked to Dr.C today. He said the vibrations could be either bartonella or Lyme.

Also he said the red patching could be from some vascular damage done from the illness. Yikes, so I guess I may have this for the rest of my life. He said similar to a scar left from when you get cut.

Well, if it's Lyme, then hopefully it will go away sooner than later.
