Need advice bad!!!! (Canada)

So my igenix results look positive but I can't see a dr for another 3 weeks! Even then he can't prescibe antibiotics because he is a ND. I talked to a neurologist and he says that igenex is always positive and he dosnt believe them! Si basically this is what I have at home. A bottle of amoxicillin , a bottle of olive leaf extract, and a bottle of oregano oil. Where and how do I start????? Please sombody give me advice, nobody here can help me I live in east coast Canada.
I just need some advice on we're to start.

What you might want to use this three weeks for is to build up your immune system, get your diet to a super healthy level and start up a detox regimen. Take a look at the "New to Lyme? ... start here" post at the top of the forum. That way you can start your treatment in good condition. Have you seen the canlyme.com site? Good luck!

Hi Char,

I hope you don't mind, but I edited the title of your post, so that our Canadian members see it popping up.

I don't know if you live close to the US border? Some members travel to the US to get abx treatment. If so, you could post a new thread asking for a LLMD in the US region close to where you live. Be sure though to enable your email address if you decide to go that route. We are not supposed to post dr's names on the forum for several reasons. That way, members can contact you through pm with the requested information.

You could also go the herbal route. There are several options: Buhner Protocol, Cowden Protocol, Eva Sapi Protocol. A LLND (Lyme literate Naturopathic Dr) might help you with that. Also for that you can start a new thread asking for a LLND.

Meanwhile you could clean up your diet (cut out Sugar, dairy, gluten, processed food) and start detoxing your body. There is a lot of info on that in the top thread of the Lyme page 'New to Lyme? ... Start here!'

Don't hesitate to post for information or support!

I live in BC, and the ND's can prescribe antibiotics. But, traveling to the US would be less expensive for you.

What about the province next to you? (Not sure which eastern province you live in)...maybe they can prescribe antibiotics.

Char999, I also live on the east coast of Canada. My doctor told me that all Igenex tests are positive. Doctors here don't consider testing outside of Canada to be valid. They desperately need to be educated about Lyme. I am currently doing the Cowden protocol and am seeing improvement. I was ordering it from the US but is there is a Canadian site now called Lyme Essentials. Private message me if you want more info.
