Has anyone used Green Dragon Botanical's LB Core Protocol? If so, what results did you have? Thanks for any info you can provide.

I took it for 8 months with HH2 and Nattokinase. The combination of these things got rid of Bartonella for me and knocked down the Lyme. I switched to antibiotics after that and have been on antibiotics since. I think they work great and are very effective. I definately herxed at 3-4 weeks on them and HARD - major depression, twitches, headaches, nausea, fatigue, etc., etc, etc....but it got better SLOWLY but I just kept at it.

I have no clue. It seems like it would be easier than taking all that other stuff, esp. when it's in capsule form (I don't like the alcohol in tinctures).

You should find out what Buhner thinks of it.

Many people do well with Buhner (don't know about Gr. Dragon); in my experience, herbs work better for me than abx, though I never did the IV Rocephin.

I do like that it is all in one but for cost difference I liked getting the herbs separately. If money hadn't been an issue for me then I probably would've used it. Let us know if you use it what you think!

Buhner actually does recommeneds the Green Dragon Botanicals Japanese Knotweed. I bought some but just took a few pills, it seemed to make me herx but I ended up going the antibiotic route to get better. I did use 3 container fulls of japanese knotweed and it seemed to help.

They gave me a headache when using them so that was the main issue. But it may have just been a mental herx.

I just picked up a bottle of LB Core. I think I'll start these when I don't have a job, along with nantokinase. I also have the Cowden protol tincture herbs. Maybe I'll just do the LB Core, and introduce Cowden if I feel I can handle it.

On the subject of Green Dragon Botanicals, how reliable are they as of late? I ordered some herbs last year from them and it took over 4 weeks for them to arrive. I'm shopping for an herbal vendor right now and want to know if I can depend on them. Of course I could order several months at a time, but I hesitate in doing that until I know the product is right for me. Any suggestions? Thx.

I'm just about the finish my first bottle of LB Core. As I remember, it arrived quickly - definitely not four weeks.

As for results, I'm not certain it did anything. Then again, I'm taking so many other supplements and ABX that any improvement could be attributed to any one of them. I'm not certain I want to order more LB Core. I'm going to hold off as I'm seeing a new LLMD (much closer to my home than my previous LLMD and therefore the change) a week from this Thursday and will run it by her.

I found them reliable - and I'm here in Canada - I think it was 2 weeks.

I find that the smaller companies - GD , WE, Sage Woman Herbs...do take longer (generally) - at least for me up here in the north

They had a spell where they just couldn't catch up - orders were taking like 6 weeks. Seems like they have worked through it.

I took it for over a year gfields. Stupidly, i was taking the dose on back of bottle (3 caps, 3x day). Then found out that dose is super low. It didn't cure me by any means but did seem to keep things manageable.

I know it's best to start slow, but what dosage is considered more robust? Also, it seems like the LB tonic would be more appropriate for neuro issues. Can anyone comment on that?

First of all, thanks you all so much for sharing your knowledge and experience so generously. I have just gotten infected with Lyme's disease last week (bullseye ring) and now on 2 weeks antibiotics. I have had no symptoms at all, apart from the rash being very itchy and even more so the first day on doxycycline. I m massively scared though and I found Buhner' s site and protocols and thinking of buying Green Dragon Botanical's LB Core Protocol to try and 100% eradicate the bacteria while the infected area is still small.
Would that be advisable? Thanks

Welcome, Medjay.

You are fortunate to catch it early.
You need to treat it longer than two weeks.
Antibiotics are very effective when treating an acute case BUT you need to take them long enough.
Minimum 4 weeks - and if you have symptoms at that point - then continue treatment.

Treating long enough with the abx is your best shot of warding off a chronic infection.

You can also add herbs ... but please don’t stop short with the abx.

If you think your dr may not give you more doxy - then find a LLMD asap to see before your doxy rubs out.
They usually have a wait list of several weeks but when you call them let em know you’ve just recently been infected... and don’t want a break in the antibiotics.
