Hi parker,
Unfortunately, as many of us have found out the hard way - the CDC guidelines are not accurate and do not work for many people (myself included in this boat).
I would recommend finding a lyme literate medical physican "LLMD." You can start a new thread, "Looking for LLMD in ____" You may also want to contact ILADs, though they take 24-48 hours to get back to you. They will likely be able to help you. How are you feeling right now? Don't get too frantic. There are many options to heal from lyme disease. It is a very overwhelming disease since the mainstream medical community does not quite 'get it.'
The best advice I can give you is research research research and then use that to advocate for yourself. And 100 mgs of doxy 2x/day is bacteriostatic - it does not kill bacteria.
