Quick background on myself. Diagnosed with Lyme at age 7 in 1986...no real memory except huge pills and blistering rash. Fast forward to June 7 2014. I find two ticks bitten into my abdominal area. One with markings, other considerably smaller all black or brown...bad lighting. One week later started having left knee pain and swelling. It lasted about a week or so then faded. This was followed by soreness in my lower legs which worked its way down to both ankles, heels and soles of the feet. The foot pain was almost unbearable in the mornings and would become tolerable after a couple hours of work. 10 days ago I had a marble sized lymph node show up on my neck. I knew my lymph nodes were swollen but I work in corn pollen all day long walking 5-12 miles a day in July. Getting summer colds and worn down is the norm for me. Mix in chills sweats low grade fever neck pain, and sore hands along this time period.
I have been on doxy for 10 days now. Lymph node is gone. Foot pain is lessened dramatically, but now my right knee is very painful swollen and warm to the touch. I have18 days of doxy left.
All my blood work came back normal. I was told I tested positive for 2/3 Lyme antibodies associated with a new case of Lyme.
I have learned a lot from this forum but am curious on the members thoughts.
