Increasing herbs but no response

I have just started tx:

been on AL-Complex for 2 months, currently taking 1 FULL dropper 2x/day. Never really noticed much response to it.

added in A-Bab 3 drops 2x/day then increased to 9 a couple days later. Will increase to 12 in a day or two.

it's been a week and I don't really think I'm having much reaction to the A-Bab or A-Bart. The first night after taking them I had some stabbing pains in my legs. My feet have been clammy all week (what a disgusting feeling) and my hands are dry and peeling… but that's it. And those symptoms could be from aaaaallllllll the other stuff I'm taking, too (32 Rx/supps and counting).

LLMD says to increase AL-Complex next. And if that is well-tolerated she'll start me on abx for the lyme.

Don't get me wrong—not complaining but a little concerned that I'm not herxing with such high doses right off the bat, as that is indication that the herbs are impacting the infection.

I was just going to do an update on this thread. I jumped from 9 drops ea. to 18 drops ea. of A-Bab and A-Bart with no real reaction other than increased muscle pain/fatigue and eye problems looking at my computer (both sx were pretty bad already so not that much of an increase).

I'll increase the AL-Complex towards the end of the week and if I still don't have much reaction I'll email my LLMD.
She mentioned that if I'm tolerating the herbs well she'll add in abx for lyme (not the others just yet).

Regarding detox—I have the MTHFR (677 and 298) gene mutations so I don't think I'm detoxing all that well, although I did just start B12 methyl supplementation so I suppose it could be immediately effective.

It's all a mystery…

I'm kinda feeling the same way you are. I recently started on the Cowden Protocol (Day 12 today) and haven't had any kind of Herx yet, which I was expecting and hoping for as confirmation that I'm on the right path. I'm more fatigued than usual, so maybe that's a sign that my body is in the fight. As of today I'm up to 17 drops of both the Banderol & Samento twice a day, increasing the dose by one drop every time I take it. I am doing detox baths every other day, so maybe that's why I haven't Herxed yet. Hopefully I'm just expecting too much too soon. Nonetheless, I'm staying positive that I'm moving in the right direction. Sounds like your LLMD has a plan.

I think you're right about that. I, too have protomyxzoa but LLMD didn't want to tackle everything just yet and it occurs to me that I didn't really ask about that, specifically.

Sounds like you are doing pretty well with your protocol. Especially the detox baths. I have a weird neuroses with taking baths (I'm kind of embarrassed to mention this!) because I have a germ phobia (meaning, I'd have to scrub and clean and clean and clean the bathtub before ea. bath which wears me out just typing it…), which started about the time I contracted the lyme—so I think there is something strange but interestingly connected about that. Anyway, detox baths been prescribed for me and I really need to force myself to do them but not there yet… I think it's critical to fully detoxing and I bet that's probably why your herxing is under control.

That is interesting and now that you say it, I'm remembering my LLMD said the same thing. I am still on the fence about taking oral abx but LLMD said insurance co will likely require it before approving IV abx. My very severe GI issues are finally under control and I don't think I could tolerate a return of those issues along with all the other herxing likely from abx, if I started oral abx. So, at a bit of a crossroads…

Thanks—I am doing some foot soaks but I could do them a little more frequently. It's like my body shuts down when it's ready for bed, which prevents me from doing a couple of things I really need to be doing so maybe I'll just start that routine earlier in the evening so I have the energy for a foot soak at least.

I really hope the IV isn't a battle w/ the ins. co. but my LLMD's response was not encouraging. I'll talk w/ her about it again—it was an email conversation so maybe she responded without remembering my GI issues.
