I was just sitting, and I got this strange shivering/cold/shaking feeling in my thigh on the right side. But it's 80 degrees....... And it was just part of my thigh.

Has anyone had something like this?

I just started houttuynia today. Just one drop this morning and again at lunch. Could it be the cause?

sayyadina, I'm not sure if this is the same as what you experience but, sometimes on part of my body will break out with patches of cold chills. It's usually just one area. It tingles and then goes away! There are certainly no shortage of strange things us lymies experience!!

Hi Sayyadina, I know what you mean. I sometimes get the sensation of cold water being spilled on my thighs - and of course, there's no water. I wrote it down in my notes for my doctor, but I don't remember him commenting on it. Hope you feel better soon!!

Hi Sayyadina,

This could more than probably be neuropathy, very common with Lyme disease. It can make you experience a large variety of sensations: tingling, stinging, crawling under the skin, sudden numb feeling, feeling of water running over your skin, feeling of rain falling on your skin, etc... it is a very long list!
I sometimes get help when starting up the B12 injections again.

I have felt that herxing can make neuropathy worse...

Yes, strange shivers, tics, and jerks in one part of the body.
