That is the trailer for the original UOS. I'm hoping they will make a trailer for the sequel so I can decide if it adds any value. The sequel is 60 minutes, the original was 100 minutes, like a full feature.

Opps - you're right Roxie. The title had a "2" in it so it was a little misleading. Even sadder, my lymebrain didn't really remember any of it from the movie. :(
Anyway, I changed the link to the full original movie in case anyone is interested… Anxious to see the sequel!

I have been stunned by what is in Emergence. I am grateful they let us know how the Under Our Skin patients have faired. It also emphasizes the ongoing issues with IDSA and CDC. Even more criminal actions by CDC and IDSA. Lord help us, these organizations acknowledge they are in a war with lyme patients and llmds and that they need tk start shooting...this was from an internal memo, they see us as enemies not ill people needing better testing, diagnosis, treatment. Keep fighting, our numbers will overwhelm their lies. Keep fighting.

OMG Roxie! Ive got a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes - just reading your post!!!
I'm worried - if this is happening in the U.S - theres no way Canada is going to stick its neck out.

Girlie, with Harper in, we don't have a prayer. He's been gutting our public health care for years. He is worse than Bush when it comes to being in bed with big business. He sees the everyday Canadian as the enemy. Once Trudeau gets in next year, we'll have a fighting chance, and we can go back to the Canadian values that we grew up with: kindness, compassion, trust, respect, dignity, peacekeeping, etc.

Correction, it was a NIH official that said they were at war with lyme patients and their llmds. Sorry, I originally blamed CDC and IDSA. I know they've said equally disparaging and stupid comments.

Best Dr. Jemsek quote: "The lie is too big to be confessed".
Not finished yet, but wow! Just wow.
Very upsetting to see the relationship problems in a couple of characters from the original.
Dr. MacDonald talks about
his illness too. He has no explanation.

There were a number of priceless quotes and that onf from Jensek at the top. Did you catch the NIH memo where they refer to us as l ymie lunies and are at war with us and out llmds?
when havent they been at war with lyme patients and their llmds?

Oh yes. They are at war and it's time for them to start shooting back!
I'm gonna watch it again! I only have it for a few days. A new friend (with Lyme) let me borrow it.

I noticed that Ben Petrick isn't in the sequel. I googled him, and now he says he never had Lyme. He had deep brain stimulation for Parkinson's and that's what made him better.

In one of those movies author Tam? makes a point that well known people many times will not admit they have lyme, how sad is that. Another woman admitted she just says she has ms instead oflyme and feels bad about
that. Truth is the first casualty in the war against this illness.

"The lie is too big to be confessed"....yup...my husband has been saying that lately. (not those exact words...but same meaning)
When more accurate testing is discovered...then what will they all say? I guess they're all keeping their fingers crossed that by that time - it will be in another 40 years, and they (and a lot of us) won't be around anymore.
Which guy was Ben Petrick? I'll google him.

I was scared when I saw that dr mcdonald got ill. He sold everything, hot out of research. He was always empatheti c towards lyme, chronically ill people but now he ecperienced his own loss. I wonder what he really had. Even someone as connevtec as he is with scientific community and he still got wrong dx. He went through having negative tests for lyme. I hope he figures it out cause if it was, is lyme he would be a hign profile person to put the negativd experience with poor testing and diagnosis.

Ben Petrick is the baseball player.
Dr. Paul Lantos from Duke actually says "we all want better tests". Dr. Lantos is in this news article and video, along with a local LLMD:
