Update regarding tick bite

Hi, I was bitten 8 days ago by a little black tick. Here is a picture of the wound now (click on "view image"). It never grew in size, it's fading, but the puncture wound is now raised like a little pimple. I have not been seen for it yet. I haven't developed any symptoms that are out of the ordinary for me, but will likely see my GP to discuss with her next week. My friends and family are telling me not to bother, and a lot of internet people have the opposite view. I'm stuck in the middle and concerned. VIEW IMAGE

Here is what the bite looked like 6 days ago (or about 48 hours after I was bitten). I will post updates as I learn more. Any comments are welcome. Thank you. VIEW IMAGE

I've had chronic Lyme disease for many, many years, so I believe in treating the bite - don't wait for symptoms as it may be too late to avoid a chronic infection by then - and believe me, you don't want to have to deal with chronic Lyme disease.

I'm very sorry you have chronic Lyme Traveler. I truly am. I'd love to have super powers to make people better. That would be way cooler than having super strength or being able to fly.

I'll post how my appointment goes.
