Greetings, please help. I am struggling with what I believe is Lyme.

Looking for LYME DISEASE SPECIALIST in Indianapolis, IN.
Hello all, I appreciate you taking the time to read my post. I recently went into the doctor and was tested for Lyme, graves, hashimoto disease, and hyperthyroid. I am waiting for the blood test results, but honestly I am pessimistic that my test will accurately detect if I have Lyme as I know many tests are not reliable. I am worried that if my doctor places me on thyroid medication without diagnosing me with Lyme, should I have it, that I may get more sick as it is only addressing part of the problem. I can't seem to find a single Lyme Disease specialist in Indianapolis Indiana aside from dc Randee Miller who is booked until NOVEMBER. I have heard wonderful things about how thorough she is but I don't want to have to wait months to be diagnosed. I feel horrible and am desperately looking for a proper diagnosis...Please help me with any information you have, thank you.

Sadly long wait times are common when trying to see an llmd. But good news is once they scedule you you can ask to be called in when tnere is cancellation. In my case I had a 7 month wait but got called in just under 3 months.

Yes, that's the one. Part of each visit is covered by insurance, which is a big help. If you follow many discussions on this forum, you'll see that most lyme doc's don't take insurance at all. Unfortunately, getting help for this is expensive, no matter where you go.
