Hi everyone! I was diagnosed with Mycoplasma bacteria about
12 years ago when I was having a hard time conceiving. I was put on antibiotic for about
2 weeks and I conceived my son that very month.
Now that I'm thinking about
it... Was a 2 week treatment of 1 antibiotic to get rid of it? I have no idea how long I've had it... Possibly years.
I was tested for Mycoplasma when I got sick with Lyme but the test came back negative. Now 2 years later, I'm wondering if it's possible that I still have Mycoplasma but the test didn't pick it up and it's part of the reason why I haven't gotten better.
What do you think?

I don't think two weeks is long enough, no.

Hi inspired,
Have you by chance been tested for other co-infections such as bartonella, babesia, or erhlicia?
They always say if you don't get well from lyme treatment it is probably a lingering coinfection.

Yes, I was tested for all of them several times. I finally tested positive for Bartonella in February and started treatment in May. I've been getting treated for 3 months for Bartonella, but haven't had too much improvement. Maybe I just need a new combo of meds. But was just wondering if maybe the mycoplasma was also involved... I did conceive my other 2 children without much problem after I was treated and my menstrual cycles became regular after I had my 1st child. So maybe the 2 week antibiotic course was enough....
