Welcome to the forum. I'm sorry you have to see your son go through this.

Your best next step would be to find a Lyme Literate Doctor who treats children, you need one associated with ILADS. They will be able evaluate your son and diagnose him properly. You can start a new thread entitled "Seeking pediatric LLMD near (your nearest big city or region you are willing to travel)".

In the meantime, educating yourself about tick-borne diseases would be a great thing to do. You will have to be your son's advocate, so it is a good idea to be as informed as possible. The thread at the top of the forum "New to Lyme, start here?" is a good place to start. There is a lot of good information and resources there.

Well my son has a lot of atypical behaviors and weve been worried about autism. He has a lot of neurological issues that began to appear during infancy and he is very delayed. He is spacey. He seems to be having sensorineural hearing loss possibly... he is still only breastfed at 15 months he has refused to start any type of food. He has reflux issues and all sorts of other things.

He was also quite colic until around 10 mo old. And from 6 mo to 10 mo had a chronic dry cough that was relentless and landed him on albuterol. When he was born his body temp ran 96.8 like mine but around 6 mo it elevated to 99 to 101 and to this day hangs out in the 99 range

I was reading on an autism forum and a few parents were tLking about children with lyme who are misdiagnosed as autistic. I thought back to that rash he had at 8 weeks. We live in washington so not a huge amnt of lyme issues but we do live on a green belt and have pets.

I couldn't enlarge the picture, so it's hard to tell. It could be ringworm, which is a fungus, but it could also be Lyme. The two very often get confused.

If you're thinking there is a link between the neuro problems and Lyme, then by all means, go see an LLMD. Make sure it's a doctor with solid credentials.

Jusy to clarify about the rash he had.

It appeared very suddenly and from what I remember was gone within a week or so.

It had one major part upper left arm which wad circular andred and felt kind prickly and rough. Then the rest of the arm had scattered prickly red bumps. And maybe one other small circular area. I think he also had a small amount on his other arm. I never noticed it again after it went away.

Nicolemarie you might want to see how his detox genetics are. Dr. Amy Y has a test. She is so successful that there is a 5 year wait to see her. She has a number of assistants who help her with the patient load. I really want to do the test myself. If you want more info about it let me know.
