Lovemychildren Mom, I move posts like this from time to time. When someone new posts in a thread that is about
something else and I believe that they need to start a new thread, sometimes I will move it for them - like this. It seemed that TheDayTheMusicDied seemed to be in a bad spot and needed to get all the views and suggestions that they could get.
So if you see posts like this again, now you know what's happening!
TheDayTheMusicDied - I'm going to shorten this up and just call you TheDay - I hope you don't mind.
There is no doubt that you have Lyme disease if you had a bulls eye rash. That is the skin form of the infection and nothing else causes that exact rash.
You had improvement in your symptoms - seemingly all or most of them as you said you felt great - with the use of antibiotics. This is a way that many LLMD's (Lyme Literate Medical Doctors trained by ILADS - International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society) confirm a Lyme diagnosis - by putting the patient on the proper abx (antibiotics) and seeing how they feel in a few weeks or months. If there is symptom improvement (like you had) then it is confirmatory of Lyme!
You will need to address not only the Candida, but the mold exposure before your body will be able to tackle the Lyme infection. There are protocols that we suggest here that you can look into to help get you started.
A quick disclaimer: I have no connection, receive no compensation of any kind, nor does the site receive any kind of compensation for any person to visit the sites I'm suggesting below. I only suggest these as a place to start or as something that I found helpful for myself or others.
For Candida: I like this site. It seems to give fairly clear explanations of what to do and what foods to eat & avoid. I used it when I was just starting to treat Candida (way back when in 2006 I think!):
altmedicine.about.com/od/popularhealthdiets/a/candidadiet.htm For Mold exposure:
www.survivingmold.com/ I happen to believe, like many others here, that your body is likely having great difficult detoxing. We have some great suggestions for detoxing in the "New to Lyme? Start here!" thread that sits at the top of the forum. I would suggest that you start off very slowly though, because if you mobilize too many toxins all at once it can cause a herx as well. We would be happy to suggest ways to start slowly as well.
