Mister Mike...
Yup I am on minocycline (best tetracycline for these infections) and clarithromycin (best macrolide for these infections), plus septra DS. I am tolerating these abx very well.
Girlie... Yes Dr. Chan told me rifampin works for lots of infections including MRSA and Lyme. When I took the rifampin it was kind of 'heavy' of an antibiotic? It was tough to tolerate. I like my mino, clarithro, and septra DS. These ones are easier to tolerate for me.
Everywhere I read I can only find using either tetracyclines or macrolides for mycoplasma but they are bacteriostatic, and the fluoroquinolones are the only bacteriacidal drug for mycoplasma.
I too am considering doing the buhner herbs! I think I'm going to combine it with minocycline and clarithromycin though. Because in my opinion, these antibiotics are pretty mild and give you an upper hand with these infections. Or I may cut back to just one antibiotic, maybe just azithromycin.
