Traveling with tinctures, and do I continue to see my LLMD??

After 2 years of treatment from my LLMD I've moved on to an ND (naturalist) who has been a great help for me. I'm not happy with my LLMD and I'm thinking that I should cancel my next appt with him and rely on my ND and start either Jernigan, Cowden, or Buhner's protocol (leaning hard toward Jernigan). I wish there was a study to show the percent of success for each!

My first question is - based on the fact that the last few visits with my LLMD have been counter-productive and that he told me he wasn't sure if he could get me well, I am trying to decide if I should go back to him for this next follow-up appointment or if I should just cut my losses and tackle this disease on my own with the help of my ND. I want someone to test me for mycoplasma and other toxins, but on the other hand if I start the Jernigan protocol it will address all of the co-infections, so why pay $165 when I could put that money toward the new protocol?

Second question - if I purchase the Jernigan protocol how do I travel (by air) with the tinctures? I won't be checking baggage and the airlines have the limit of 3oz per carry-on. Each bottle is 4oz and I'm sure I'll be carrying 10+ bottles! Does anyone have a trick or suggestion?

My primary symptoms these days are
*leg muscle pain that seems to come on every 6 days and only last about a day (this used to be a daily symptom)
*Circulation issues in feet and hands. My feet turn red and I feel a lot of pressure when standing for a long time. If I'm sitting I have to keep them elevated or they seem to lose circulation and turn bluish.
*Acid reflux that just started after doing a DesBio Borrelia/Babesia kit. It seemed like a bad herx but it hasn't subsided.
*Tinnitus and eye floaters

I realize the doctor decision is completely up to me, but I'm wondering how many of you think we really need the LLMD once we've gotten to the point of understanding the disease and treatment requirements. Can we beat this on our own if we follow the protocol 100%, or do we need to hold onto that LLMD? I'm so tired of throwing money at a doctor who can't heal me.

2 years is a decent chunk of time. If it were me in that position, I would thank the LLMD and try another avenue.

I had a lot of adjustments going into herbs and definitely still had fears about relapse etc. but it never happened (knock on wood). I was not well when I stopped seeing my LLMD. I WAS certainly better, just not well. I was stable though which I think most lymies can be thankful for. I still had a lot of random issues pop up for the 6 months after finishing abx like twitching or floaters, a fair amount of gut issues but with time and help they all went away.

You can always go back to the LLMD or look for another one too.

Thank you all so much. I appreciate your opinions! I called the airport and they gave me the number to TSA. The TSA agent informed me that I could request a supervisor to review the liquid supplements that i am trying to carry on. He said that although it is their discretion whether to accept them or not, generally medication is not a problem. I'm thinking I could probably bring a copy of the receipt and the protocol to help make my case if necessary. :)

I'm leaning hard towards cancelling my appointment with my LLMD.

I just traveled with tinctures galore. I went in the medical fluids lane but I don't think it would have really mattered... They just let me through. Just to be safe, make sure everything is labeled and visible, and go through in the medical line and I think you'll be completely fine.

I think I remember once they did take a look at the tinctures I was traveling with... And then let me through no prob. I think trust them that they will let you through and really are looking for actual problems rather than to take people's medicine away :)

I traveled to Switzerland with my tinctures; I just put them in my suitcase, as opposed to my carryon. But if you bring the tinctures newly bought, in their sealed containers, you can bring them as carryon, as long as they don't exceed the limit for fluids.

My problem is that I want to travel with loose herbs? They're going to look an awful lot like marihoochie, even in the sealed plastic bag. So what do I DO?
