There is a LLMD/ND here, not too far off I-5. I will send you his name whenever you're ready for it if you're interested. I guess I just assumed you knew about him.

I'm sorry that social worker said that to you. That seems rather thoughtless considering what you're going through now and what you've gone through in the past. I'm also sorry nobody is listening to you about his Lyme infection.

I'm glad to hear he is progressing, even if it is slow. I hope it will be steady. I hope you're holding up as well as can be expected. Prayers still coming your way.

Continuing to pray, and so good to hear he is progressing. Again, it's so good you let us know so we can continue to pray, support and stand with you.

I suggest, in regards to the local L/co support group....although you stated you should have been more 'active' with them, the truth stands that they are more than likely available FOR YOU NOW, as you go throught his with Toby.

PLEASE, PLEASE, contact them, tell them a quick overview of what is going on, and I can guarentee they will have the ears you need, the voice you may lack, the direction you are seeking, etc. I would imagine they would rally around you, and Toby, and help with the support so desperately needed NOW.

We DO stand together, whether we know one another, or not.

Again, I strongly encourage you to let them know. You shouldn't have to go through this without the local support group. They, I would think if it was us(!), like us, would want to know so they could offer you knowledgable support and kindess.

Continuing to believe for Toby's miracles and for you to see them unfold before your eyes.

We care, thanks for the updates, and Peace to you as you support Toby.

I can contact the support group leader and he will send out a prayer request. It's a good group of people.

Just wondering how Toby is doing. I sure hope he's moving ahead. I want to see how you're doing too. I know this very hard for you. Would it help if I came and spent some time with you?

Thank you so so very much. Toby is still in the trauma ward. He is slowly healing and they need to replace the bone flap in his head which may take place next week. I believe it is a 2 hr. or so operation. He can understand what people are saying, but it is difficult for him to communicate verbally. It is extremely frustrating for him not to be able to express himself.
His brothers are staying at the hospital with him as I get all our financial issues taken care of. I cannot wait to tell him about all the love and support from this site. He will be overwhelmed with gratitude. As soon as I can, I will try to call the support group. I have been so very busy and of course family and friends keep me glued to the phone, but I would love the support from ones who understand and acknowledge Lyme. I will stay in touch as much as I am able to. Thank you for bringing me back to communicating on this site. I did miss it. Blessings to all.

Garden, ILADS gave me the name of one in or near Vancouver, but the ratings for him appeared to be low. I don't know if he is the same doctor or not. Have you or your daughter seen him? If you get a chance, write to me and let me know. Have you seen Dr. W lately? If you see him, maybe you can mention what happened. I think when Toby gets better, he may want to see him again.

Im happy to hear Toby has progressed and pray God blesses your situation and provides more knowledgeable and supportive medical staff. You are going thru so much right now but try to accept support, this stress can take its toll on you. I wish I could help even being sick I know you need support,, I hope pople are reachinv out to give assistance. Keep fighting Toby!

Yes, thank you so much for taking the time to provide updates for us!! We are very concerned and pray for his recovery and your strength!

If you have a printer, you can print out this whole thread for Toby to see. Or if the hospital has a website where we could send thoughts of hope and healing to him, you can post that here and we can send them to him. I know that when my husband was in the hospital, they hospital staff would bring us emails that were printed out that were being sent to my husband via the hospital website. Just a thought, for when you have more than just a moment to two.

Know that we are and will be here to help support you as much as we can through all of this!! :-)

I am in a rush 'cause I have to go pick up Toby's brother at the airport, but I quickly want to say that I am the one to thank you. You are all too precious for words. Trav, I will look into that. Thanks and I will write later tonight if I can.

I just sent you an email with the Doctors names in the area. It has been a month or so since we've been to Dr. W., but I will mention it if we go back any time soon, or if you'd like, I could call and tell him.

If you decide to make an appt. with the doc in Vancouver, I would be happy to let Toby have mine in October, otherwise it would most likely be a longer wait. I'll have to ask my daughter if she'd give hers up too, since the fist appt. is longer. She probably would. So let me know if you'd like to do that so I can call and let them know.

I'm glad his brothers are helping out. Take good care of yourself.

That's so sweet Garden. We would not want you to give up appts. that are hard to get. I don't even know if Toby will be able to travel at that point. He has surgery on Monday and after recovering for a few days, he will need to be in rehabilitation. Thanks for sending me the info. I'll look to see what I can find about these doctors.

It wouldn't be a problem to change our appts. I could also try to work out a later date to trade with someone, so they would get in earlier and you could take the later date. He really gets booked up most of the time. Just keep that in mind in case Toby wants to get in to see him. I hope the surgery goes well on Monday.
