I am wondering what the cost of your Lyme disease care has cost
when you have gone to clinics that specialize in alternative care?

And also aside from an established clinic--what about an independent LLMD who has a good reputation but might not be in my general area?


What are the ball park figures for a few years of intense care?
My husband says I can spend a certain amount and no more and I just am wondering how likely it is that we can truly afford it.

I've seen an independent LLND and LL-ARNP for the past three years (no specialty clinics in my area either) and spent somewhere in the neighborhood of $20-25k.

ps ~ mt LLND has recently moved out of state so, now I'm pretty much fighting lyme & company on my own with a combination of teasel root, essential oils, raw garlic, colloidal silver, and lots of sleep.

Well I think my total cost is somewhere around $30000... But at least I don't take expensive vacations or spend my money like I used to! I have only been treating for 9 months.

I think those expensive facilities are great but they only get you to about feeling 70-90% your former self. I don't know if any of them actually cure people. Getting a cure usually takes much more time.

I know people will argue cure is the wrong word to use and it should be remission.

Sueg, if I had to do it all over again and knew that I had Lyme, I would have done one of the herbal treatments on my own, probably the one that does the least amount of herbs.

I have spent a hell of a lot of money over the past 15 almost 16 yrs now on trying to find out what was wrong, chiropractic care, Chinese med, acupuncture, Ayervedic, etc

I spent about $22k with an ND and got nowhere (this was before there was any thought of lyme & co.) But since Feb when I first saw LLMD, I've probably spent another $3k… but—I didn't start herbs (AL-Complex for lyme) until May and started A-Bart and A-Bab in July. I start abx via PICC or port this week — so my treatment has only just begun. I have no spouse or help and no job and no more savings. Lord help me.

to revive--what are the most effective herbs that you have used?

LymeP--were the high costs from only 9 mos of llmd tx?

Sueg- my high cost is my desperation to treat as fast and aggressively as possible.. I actually was seeing 2 LLDs to help treat me. I doing consults with both of the LLDs. I also ordered a ridiculous amount of supplements. Half of which I didn't even take lol. I have about 5 months worth of antibiotics in my fridge... Lol I'm not even kidding. But I haven't got much better since may. I kind of plateaued. And also I factored in hotel, flights, testing... Just everything related as a "Lyme expense"
