Probiotics are good to start with. Have you read through the "New to Lyme" thread at the top of the page? If not, you should since it has a lot of information in it. You can learn about
the Lyme diet too and the importance of detoxing.
That was probably me who posted about
Homeopathy, since I seem to be the only one who has used classical homeopathy. It's just hard to find a good homeopath since there is a shortage of them now. It takes a lot of studying to be able to choose the right remedy and how to choose them so it works on your body from the inside to the outside. Going in reverse can suppress healing. One good example is asthma causing a rash, then treating the rash alone made the asthma worse by blocking the healing pathways. My first homeopath is now teaching at a college, so his students should be very good homeopaths. I need to see if I can figure out a way to work with my first one without going to AZ. They said I'd have to go for the first appt., then work through skype.
So my experience with it is from using it when I was very ill about
27 years ago and I think it's why my daughter and I aren't a lot more sick now. I've aborted many flu bugs with it over the years. Last week I took a turn for the worse, with my muscle feeling weak and I was very tired and having a hard time thinking clearly. I wasn't able to do much at all. I had other symptoms too. So about
3 or 4 days into it, I happened to remember the remedy that fit my symptoms and started taking it, so now I'm able to walk normally and feel stronger again. My guess is that it was a virus.
Here's one site where you can learn about
it.
nationalcenterforhomeopathy.org/ . For chronic problems, it's best to be treated by a classical homeopath. I often with I had a video of my treatments the first time around. I thought by now a lot more people would know about
it, but no such luck. It can be powerful medicine. I really knew if my prior illness was Lyme or something else. I sure had several symptoms of it. I had absolutely no reflex response, so my system was shutting down. He told me I had nowhere to go but up when I asked why I wasn't doing worse before I started doing better, like he said people with chronic health problems do. If I knew it was Lyme, then I could say homeopathy alone can do a lot of healing, but since I don't know what I had, I don't like to tell people it alone will cure them. I do think it could make a big dent in infections, though, if the homeopath is good.
I could go on and on about
it, but I'll spare you. :)
