From earlier this year:

NEWS: Sen. Blumenthal of CT renews push for federal Lyme legislation

So I'm assuming Senator Blumenthal would be the one to contact initially about a bill in the Senate that would be the rough equiv. of the now passed HR 4701.

Oh yes, I forhot aboug him. I think he is in under our skin 2 Emergence. Cuomo in new york needs to sign into law what new york passed to protect lyme drs to help with momentum.

OUTSTANDING!!!! Let's power up people. Is there anyone involved in the forum who has a fully functioning brain??? I do not believe I qualify but will definitely help out as best I can. Would be great if we could organize a little bit, find champions for each state to make some contact. And/or utilize other relationships to make significant outreach/contacts. Anyone know any famous people????

My maine yahoo group was all about the bill today and members were contacting their reps. What does all of this really mean?

I don't trust Blumenthal anymore after reading about how he was one of 5 senators that want to regulate testing for Lyme basically saying that there are too many false positives. FDA-approved testing only would mean that labs like IGeneX wouldn't be available to us anymore.

@ToddPaul, I know I am interested though because labcorp changed their testing and will no longer do two teired testing...I'm wondering if this could actually work in our favor. ALL of the studies show how inaccurate the titer test is...

;) That's good enough for me! Now, if we could just organize ourselves. I naturally tend to kind of take the lead—but not sure if I am the right person since I'm really struggling cognitively. Maybe once I get a little further into treatment. Anyway, let's keep the conversation going.
